@san what did they say?
@all shall i open up my laptop and remove and insert the ram modules myself (if it doesnt void the warranty) or call dell ppl, so that they can correct the problem
@whiz sent my service tag and express code by pm
as san said, i had to be on a looong hold if i call dell, so i'll just mail them. Btw dell hires wipro ppl to do their service and stuff |

not necessarily....looks like your call got routed to wipro coincidentally ...each time you called....dell has multiple support vendors...wipro, sitel, sutherland, stream....to name a few

Welcome Back Bombadil!!!...nice pictures too.some guys here bought a new laptop while some bought a bike...some bought a new cellphone.some memberes went missing while new joined.and our beloved  launched some crap models and a watch.
@all,how much des a 1gb and a 2 gb memory stick pro duo cost?is it true that buying without a warrenty can be risky as there are fakes out there??

@niru, they just "forgot" to ship out the software (lojack for laptops) cd along with my order. now its on the way with an additional discount 
oh n i also complained that the sales guy ripped me off sayin the sound blaster audigy was a soundcard (of course i knew it was just a sofware upgrade) so got some $$ back on that too, lol.
also doing a complete format and reinstall of win xp right now. the damned mcafee security center that came with the dell cud not be uninstalled (no option under add/remove prog for it). hope it starts up in bout 30 secs without all the preinstalled dell junk.

@Gov,niru - According to the papers, BMTC and KSRTC will ply their buses as usual (maybe reduced capacity) as long as there are no problems such as riots or something. Gov, better get somebody to pick u up, autos wont be running....

my friend is assembling a pc...he wants to know if its safer to go with 'd link' brandedmother board.he is getting it for around half the price of intel motherboard.
