here's my effort at installing ubuntu, took me the better part of an hour:

@blu,i got nero7 in my laptop..its got nero imagedrive.so i transfered the nero to my desktop(it doesnt have cd writer)but it doesnt show image drive option.is it serial number specific or is it coz the desktop doesnt have cd writer??

i transfered via LAN then installed it...using a different serial number
Btw,thats 1 big bug.

it's an option when you install nero. if it is installed, this would be the path:
C:\\Program Files\\Nero\\Nero 7\\Nero ImageDrive\\ImageDrive.exe
try it.

it...but it was not being shown on the nero smart.... something interface.

well it's there in the start menu -> Nero 7 -> Tools.

now whats this first drive and second drive??i got only 1 cd drive...so i guess,i got to choose first drive..right?

yup. after that you right click your iso file -> open with -> choose program -> nero imagedrive and check always use this program. This way you just have to double click the iso to load it.
btw after you select first drive you'll find that you have now a new drive in your my computer. if you choose both, you'll get two drives  .

i did that..
i have seen games with xxx.iso this works with them right.
but i got this game with (princeorpersia cd1 and cd2) pop_install.bin and pop_install.cue clicking on cue takes me to "nero burn a cd"...does that mean,i got to burn the game??

yes you'll have to burn that, but you can burn it to your hd as an image instead of your writer.

but the imagedrive takes up the place of the original drive right??like,i will have to disable the imagedrive for the cd drive to work.isnt that so??

no, instead you'll get a new virtual drive.
