@asfaq didn't work on divx, but then i tried the latest version of foobar2000 with the dts plug it works. I tried utorrent for a few days, but then went back to az because i missed the control that i had especially downloading individual files in a torrent.

@asfaq, what can i say, but the simplicity of utorrent just turns me off  . Anywho, what's the best private tracker to get tv torrents?

thanks shyam, but the vlc version is just source code, and i don't know how to compile it. The second link is for ac3 decoding not dts.

i tried various incoming tcp listen ports (some mentioned in vinuthomas)and tested it...still getting errors.

Did you open those ports in your firewall?

@blu,while u edited the post,i checked the windows firewall settings...i included azureus in the exception list and now i think its working fine.
the file with yellow smiley  showing nat problems has now turned green. 
but the other file which was showing tracker down with blue smiley is still blue
edit:its still on dht
