@niru: I doubt that its because of weak signal, Am getting 13.2kbps now. Its just sometimes goes really slow. Anyhow, how have you been? I returned to bangalore on monday, called up govind today, he wasn't answering. Any news?

has saying that edge gives good speed and debu feels otherwise.so if i got to buy a new phone,should i go for EDGE phone or a 3G phone?my needs wont be big downloading.just some surfing and yahoo messenger chat.and is there any way,i can occasionally download music straight to my phone? |

ne one got a chance to play aroudn with the w810i here? any comments?
do you guys think its worth upgrading frm k700 to w810i. i need mp3 player for sure, flight mode too is quite good.

Thuggie...3G is still in testing stage here in bbay...I don't think its being launched newhere be4 07...and when its finally launched, I m sure it'll cost much more than the cost of gprs now...even then, if U want 2 ve a phone 4 the long run I'd suggest 1 with both EDGE & 3G as most of the non metros will still lack 3G.
Now the only problem is that  doesn't ve a single phone with both...I was gonna get the 6680 instead of the 6681 but I want the P990 which is 3G so I choose the 6681...other choices were K-Jam, JasJar etc but I don't want Windows OS phone.
Abt downloading music...I often downloaded music straight to my phone.

@sanj,we think the same when it comes to i know u liked it because it doesn't have a joystick 
i too was planning on the W810,but then,3G is coming.dont want to be playing around for the next 2 years with outdated technology.
@has,yup,its a pity SE dont have EDGE+3G in a single phone.
and no...i will never buy a nokia.
my needs are 2mpx cam,walkman,heavy surfing on phone(preferably a touchpad)...thats why W950 was perfect for me if it had a 2mpx camera.
btw,i will be in Delhi by next month but i may not be able to take my laptop along with me

@thug: Did you consider the K800i? Should be along by the end of may (hopefully), it has EDGE+ 3G. Also, I fully believe in the capabilities of EDGE, Its just that the networks around bangalore suck.

@debu,K800 wont come to India.only K790...check out the website.both the phones wont be introduced in any single country and if introduced,they would be priced same.also,the design and 3.2mpx cam didnt excite me.wish it had some optical zoom.
and sometime around mid May new 3.2mpx SE phone/s will be announced(maybe clamshell).lets wait and see. |

@thug here in kochi edge speeds are pathetic @10 KBps, it is not fully implemented here yet. Find out from your cc whether proper edge is available in your area.
Also, can anyone tell me how to configure BT on an hp pavilion?
