I get a bit nauseative when hear things like..

@san, the hp dv1000 series all come with Quickplay which lets you play movies or music without booting windows. Theres a nice lil remote control too which fits snugly into the pcmcia card slot .. Im not so súre if it còmes with the model you mentioned though. All in all the hp pavilion dv1000 series is an excellent combination of media, gaming and business friendly notebooks.

@mrao, thanks. yes the 1600 series tooo comes withe the HP quick play, which i think is a neat lil feature, same goes for the remote that fits into pcimca slot. but HOW IS THE integrated graphics media accelerator 950 with upto 128mb shared mem???? will any of the newer games work ???

I have tried far cry and call of duty 2 and they work just fine. Just make sure you upgrade the ram to at least 1 gig and you should be fine

Updates...exchanged my wife's 3230 to a 6681 & :bt: named it blokia brick.
Exchanged my P900 to a P910i with a 256MB MSD
Thuggie...bplmobile doesn't support edge...its through my wife's airtel sim's gprs connection that I get edge @115.2KB/s connection between phone & the lappy...dont know what connection speed I actually get through Airtel...but the download speed is impressive...got a constant speed of 23.6KB/s for a 140MB megaupload download. @has,thats as good as my broadband...most often,my downloads range between 27-30Kb/sec.how much do they charge u for EDGE?
