A bit louder than the average SE phones, nothing spectacular imo.

It could be a typo. Maybe he means HPM-77.

HPM-88 comes with HPM-77 features (neodymium driver, oxygen-free copper cord, 3.5mm jack) with an additional Active Noise Cancelling.

If you want to know further, Click Here.

In a paper, HPM-88 could give a better audio experience than HPM-77. And NC could be very useful for noisy environment, or even if you want to fall asleep. For me, silence is a music, too.

And it could be less risky to damaging your ears, since you wouldn't attempt to use higher volume in noisy environment.

The only downside, it could drains battery phone faster, less playback time. And NC could introduce some additional noises, but it's very rare. I hope we can turn on and off NC anytime, just like any other high-end NC headphones.

And yeah W902 could be considered as CyberWalkman, but the lacks of Xenon Flash makes me thinks twice. Maybe other peoples here doesn't care about this, but I takes indoor pic a lot. That's the reason I still hold K850 until now.

Err...

I just want to say, clear audio experience isn't BS or gimmick.

It clearly does make the difference. I agree with Michell, ocean, Rifqi and aasimtom, outstanding audio quality. My K850 has a crap audio quality compared to W980.

Hiron,

what is your opinion regarding w980 vs iPod (nano or classic) or any other good mp3 player? Have you ever got the chance to test them using the same headphones and music?

I have just bought w980, there is some difference with my gf's iPod nano in some tracks, I will post my conclusive results later on.

Second, what do you think about HPM-77? Are they decent enough or will I see some big difference in audio quality (clarity, warmth, etc) if I buy more expensive headphones?

Thanks,
Ari.
