Maybe they will left the firmware as it is, I mean the phone is working wright? and they will make a new K series flagship.
Just for my curiosity: If K850 is their flagship then why it doesn't appear on the front page of SE? I mean every time I enter their site is a random phone but I've never seen K850.
And has someone the BlackSilver (or whatever) model? Has it a new firmware or beside the design there is something new about it?
I think SE screwed this big time.

Of course the phones working, at the end of the day we can all call and send sms. mms but I could have done that with a cheap basic model instead of a £300 one.
If its their flagship model, don't they have a duty to make it work properly rather than dismissing it and possibly releasing a new model, or am I very naive to believe that wont happen ?

question: How come the update is not available here in UAE? my phone's software version is R1CA037 and everytime i do the SEUS, it prompts me that my software is up-to-date.

Well, I doubt they are struggling. I think this is turning into arrogance already. A200 is not sooo complicated that they need so long time to iron out the mistakes. It would be more like they are rewriting the code from the beginning how much time they have took for a new release, but even that I highly doubt... Really annoying....

@ mizzle, seems to me that even in SE they are not aware of the true release date..

Such a big company and so big ignorance to its customers. If it is reliable and self aware, they would give some official statement on their web pages, or here even. Just for the sake of it... It is not much, right?

I'd say that we have a right as a consumer to demand that the phone works a lot better. For instance my phone can't play any games or use any java applications whatsoever. Compare that to if i had a car and i cant use the aircondition or something similar. What would i do? Well i woudn't accept that the car dealer tells me- "Hey, but the car works in any other cases and areas don't it"? "So be satisfied and by thae way- the air conditioner isn't that essential anyway". What would i say? I'd say "Bull**** either you fix this pronto, becuause i have had this fault for three months now, or i'm taking this to the consumers rights organistation and lawsuit your ass off."

Got up this morning and the battery indicator on my phone was showing as 0%, checked my Phone Status and it said my battery level was 33%. I charged my phone up and instead of the usual Optimized Charging message that popped up, it said 'Charging, Alien Battery' What the.........?!!

I think it says that if you have a "non-SE" battery, but I guess you have the original one :S

Thats what I though but yes you're right, I do have an offical SE battery.

Once I took it out though and put it back in then it was fine but I was just a bit worried when it was telling me I had an alien battery in my phone!

I'm getting a bit irritated at the moment... Seeing that it SHOULD have been out Friday, but hasn't been released yet. There's still nothing on EMMA, and regarding the SEUS updates, you can check the changelogs here, since it's essentially the same application.

Sorry, this may have been answered before but what is EMMA and can anyone use it?

hey guys,

a question about the filesize of a file that can be downloaded with the K850i. I tried it and I was able to download files up to 4 MB, but after that it does not work anymore.
How to change that and where?...

Its not a restriction of the provider, because I was able to download files double that size with the same sim but by using a M600i.

Oh and, I do have enough memory on the memory stick.

does this depend on the firmware ?
