Thanx for the advice Dups, thats very true,it can be quite a headache having to adjust to a new OS, especialy one that im not entirely into.
Also watched some N8 videos, in one of them the guy was running 15apps with no lag,and the new taskmanager looks great
SF^4 is going to be very interesting, complete break from S60
Have you started considering getting the X10 if nothing else realy interesting pops up?
Hardware wise IMO X10 seems to be future proof, lets just hope it gets Froyo, that would realy make it a beast.

@GUCCI Ive done online selling before. You just gotta make sure you have a nice long chat to them on the phone (you can usually tell if they dodgy or not) and we'll do the deal at my flat (my block has security) so everything will be cool. Also i know advance kung fu.I can disable someone just by using my baby finger lol
I have read and read and read stuff about the X10 and regardless of some of the negatives (you'll know what im talking about if youve browsed the Esato Official X10 Thread) my mind has not been swayed.Once the updates come rolling out Im sure the X10is going to be a beaut.
You get three month before expiry to upgrade plus I found out you can squeeze another 7 days.Give Vodacom a ring and see if you can do the same.
@DUPS Impatient is an understatement.Im going delerious.

Hobbs just can't get GUCCI out of his system. You're not alone Hobbs, at times I find myself wanting to write GUCCI instead of Tsepz.

@GUCCI or rather Tsepz_GP

No, I'm not into the X10 mainly because of the following: low call quality (in ear) and late software upgrades.

I agree that the hardware is definitely future proof.

I just don't have the heart (or need) to replace the P1i yet. It still serves me so well after 2 and a half years of service (gee, doesn't time fly...?!).
A few random P1i pics taken over the past few days:

@wanqs

To be honest, I'm hooked on the P1i and I am not replacing it as I have 2 lines. I'm likely to interchange the new phone with my Moto V8 along with the Bold I hardly use.

The P1i is my favourite phone of all time.

By the way, how is your scroll wheel? Mine has started to act up- scrolls erratically that I find myself resorting to using the touch screen and keypad only. Wish I knew how to fix it.

Eish, Hobbs has made me restless,i was doing well, being patient and all but now i think 12July will see me at Vodashop Fourways 1st thing in the morning waiting for a Black X10 ,the idea of browsing the web, watching movies and playing a few games on that 4inch display is just eating me up, and the APPS OH THE APPS, all we have on Symbian is on Android to and then more, i think the X10 is what i should get lol,i do WAY MORE web browsing than taking vids or pics.
Hobbs
Nah,i want you to get it 1st, im fine with waiting an extra day, you better not get it any day before the 11th!lol
Dups
LOL! I dont mind if you guys call me by the old aka, this one does take some getting used to.
Thats very true about late updates, luckily theres XDA Devs to port things to the X10, i realy think the X10 would suit me better than the N8 overall. If this was 2007 it would be like deciding between a N82 and N95-8GB, in the end id take the one with a larger display.
Even forgot you had the BB9700, im sure you could get a lot of dough out of selling it. That P1 seems to be quite a keeper, you, Wanqs and a lot of other P1 users seem very happy with it.
Wanqs
Some great pics there, dig the Beetle/bike

Yeah, I'm more than happy with the P1i and until it dies on me it is my main phone.

I actually went and registered over at mybroadband after you and wanqs suggested I try and sell the Bold. My intention was to sell it but didn't get around to do that. For now it stays put as my daughter lost her phone and I'm going to give her the W890i.

She actually has been nagging me about getting her the Curve her aunt (my sister) has and I have been telling her that her hands are too small for that cause I was dumbfounded that a nine year old wants a Blackberry.

Kids these days are too technological!

Sorry about making you impatient Tsepz.lol I've got a serious case of ants in my pants.
I also know a Korean guy who has the P1i and doesnt feel the need to part with it for another phone. He also feels the same about his E61i.So those are his two units.Nice combo.
Nice pics Wanga. You bike lovers are sure a creative bunch when it comes to doing up your bikes.Great stuff.
8 days to go until kick-off.I'm hitting the Grand Parade fan park for that first Bafana/Mexico match.Should be crazy.

Yoh! Lol,amazing how things have changed hey, when i was 9 all i was thinking about was my bicycle, Cartoon Network and playstation games, cellphones were for adults i nearly had a heart attack when i saw a 11yrld with an N95 when i was in matric.
Those 8520Curves are flying off the shelves, everyone is getting them lol, a W890 is more than enough for a 9year old im sure. Has a very good mp3 player, quite a bit of memory, and will run MXit with no problem.
By the way Dups, have you tried Bolt browser on your P1 and BB9700? You can get it here: http://www.boltbrowser.com

An N95 for a kid! Wow, some parents are extravagant.

Just downloaded the browser and I like it but have a problem, it gives me an HTML page even after I have selected 'Mobile view'. I hate scrolling sideways all the time.

Any ideas?

Wooooooh!

Are you serious Hobbs?

I'll be honest with you, UIQ is brilliant when compared to S60 and I would pick it over S60 any time. Yes, you guessed it, there is a but and it is a big but.

The E90 has everything going for it except the OS. Build quality is better than the P1's and it has a wonderful QWERTY keypad. Slightly more features than the P1i.

I have a feeling the P1i will not be in a good condition. It is better built than the plasticky N95/95-8GB but nowhere near the E90's.

My personal feeling is that you are losing in this deal.

Dups
Indeed, you'd be shocked at what phones some of these kids have.
Bolt only does full HTML, all that mobile does is to remove some of the ads in websites.
Hobbs
Lol, you are completely moving back to SE hey, P1 and X10, that should be a great combo. I used a friends P990i the other day, what a lovely device that was, even now it looks like a true quality phone.

@DUPS Theres no doubt I'll be losing out thats a given.Build quality is exceptional, great inner screen,QWERTY blah blah blah ect All E90 owners are losing out judging by what they are selling their units for on Gumtree. They going for nothing and if you want one it looks like you can pick one up for R2000-R3000 and in some cases less.Chances are I wont let it go but just say on the off chance this P1i is in fantastic nick, bought and never used much, still in box,no stratches, everything still perfect,Im taking it.UIQ3 over S60 anyday.I had a couple months with a P990i and loved it (got rid of it for a N95 8gb) Im just curious and putting feelers out there.

@TSEPZ It appears that way lol
