Just reading up about it now Gucci.Gotta do my homework but that 4inch screen when you look at it in the shop leaves you feeling all warm and fuzzy lol
Reading the GSMArena review and so far its looking good. Will be nice to play around on a different OS for a change.Android looks pretty interesting.

Poor Columbia were hard done by last night. The re-take of that Bafana penalty was a shocking decision. Was good to see Pienaar get a run and dare I say it,Benni.Pienaar has great vision and the rest of the boys just need to spot those opportunities he creates.Benni came on the last 25 minutes and with the way Bafana are playing he never saw much of the ball.Last nights win doesnt sit well with me though because of that first goal penalty. It just killed the whole spirit of the game and when the Columbians equalized with a penalty of their own I was quite pleased.Columbia are ranked 32.Not a bad side.Bafana are lucky to get away with that win.A draw would have been more fair considering the way the win came about.Bring on the Guatamalins.

NOKIA N8 vs. Apple iPhone3GS, OmniaHD, AND iPad GLBenchmark test: http://forum2.mobile-review.c[....]st.php?p=865514&postcount=1889
Some excellent results for a ARM11, the CPU itself surpasses the 3GS's SAMSUNG ARM A8-Cortex at some points, and clearly the N8's GPU packs a serious punch. Think this is definetly my next phone. would be great if it got Symbian^4 when that's released, but im glad with S^3 the N8 supports S60v5 apps.
Im officialy on holiday for the next 6-7weeks as of today this holi is going to be filled with braais due to world cup im sure, looking forward to it.

I don't know Hobbs, initially I thought the referee was being harsh on the Colombian keeper but seeing the replay I think the linesman got it right. The laws of the game do state that the keeper is allowed to move along the goal line and not forward. The keeper to a step forth, maybe it was a minute step, but he was off the line. He took a second 'small' step then made a save. Maybe the linesman was being pedantic but he followed the rules to the letter.

I do, however, agree that that referee was downright incompetent and out of his depth. He ruined the game entirely and just couldn't handle the ill-disciplined Colombian players. He also let a few rough tackles from both sides go unpunished.

Anyway, Bafana Bafana have a serious problem of not being able to penetrate the opposition. Yesterday's was not such a good performance. Parreira should also stop using one striker cause we need goals to win matches.

I'm looking forward to the Denmark game cause they play well structured and disciplined football.

@GUCCI So the N8 is going to be your next phone.Cool.When are you due an upgrade? My upgrade is due 10 July.I still have my eye on the X10.I think its a beauty. What do you think of it? Have you read anything negative about it? Two things I've read come to mind.No multi-touch,even with the upgrades in the future and a dismal battery life.Other than that I can't think of anything else off the top of my head.@RHINO Are you still using your Android handset or are you using the 5800. @DUPS It doesnt really matter in the end if we won, drew or lost, they are friendly warmup games. What matters is that we learnt something from our South American brothers that we can take forward with us into the last two games and then finally, the big one.

Yep, N8 is the one i want, taking it on a TopUp500 with that finance package. My upgrade is in mid-July,but i guess il have to wait,if i cant wait then il be looking at either SE Vivaz, SE X10, OR MOTO Milestone, i wonder if il be able to wait though . I like the X10 to but im not totaly into it at the same time, ive read the same negatives: Poor battery and No-multitouch, also the late 2.1 update whilest others are already getting 2.2, otherwise its looking good, wouldn't you rather wait for the iPhoneHD though? Or look at the HTC Desire? Its too bad the NexusOne isnt here in SA.

Agreed Hobbs!

Speaking of contract upgrades, I'm up on the 6th of the next month (June) and there simply isn't anything I want at the moment.

I am seriously considering going full touch cause it looks like I'm waiting for a dream in my wish for a P1i-esque Android phone.

I'm actually considering the next Iphone among my potential phones. The Moto Shadow also caught my eye, the one with no sliding keypad.

I'm going to wait till September/November to see if any announcement is made of the phone I'm waiting for. If not then I will decide among the Shadow, Meego Nokia and the Iphone.

@Hobbs

Just one question on the Iphone, how is its call quality and signal strength and lock?

@DUPS Regarding the iPhones call quality, signal ect its all good. Its a lovely phone.Wouldnt mind a 3GS or the upcoming HD but Its time to move on.Ive had this E90 and iPhone for way to long now. @GUCCI Cool our upgrades are pretty close together.I'll give that HTC Desire a look at. I also have an upgrade 3 June but I think Im going to terminate it.If I get to impatient then maybe I have my X10 sooner than later.

Thanks Hobbs!

Right now I would say the Motorola Shadow is at position 1 followed by the Iphone HD, for some reason the next Meego Nokia has been relegated to position 3.

I must say I've always fancied Android after the 'death' of UIQ.

I can actually see myself with the Shadow.

Ive found the 1st custom 5800XM Homescreen that im actualy completely happy with, i tried SPB Shell with its 6 Homescreens, and as cool as it is, it felt a bit like Beta software, it was an absolute memory hog, and i just didnt like its UI that much, im one of the few who really likes NOKIA's S60 UI the way it is, especially S60v5, and the fact that i dont need 6 freakin homescreens. I just wanted a N97 type homescreen that allowed me both shortcuts and widgets, and yesterday i found just what i was looking for, its called Orange Tsunami, heres a screenshot of how ive set mine up:
