Can I just say at this point having worked on constructing numerous BP petrol stations around the country in the past, I had to pass a test regarding Petrol forecourt safety in order to obtain my "passport" to work on said petrol stations and some of the graphic material we were shown of accidents caused by people smoking or using their phones on a forecourt was shocking.

Some of the public should be shown the footage and maybe they'll realise the phone call ain't that important!

semi-rant over!

I'm off until Sunday now. Yeah plenty had a drive off for £5.33 and a guy paid for £8 instead of £10.03 and drove off when i went out to tell him he paid for the wrong pump. Not to mention the monkey i have to work with lol.

You'd get away with it too lol. Nanu you want to know what my training was? A 5 page booklet asking various questions in which my manager gave me the answers to go with it.

I'm not trained to deal with tanker deliveries, i've watched no safety videos nor do i know where the emergency button is outside to stop fuel. It is a joke if people knew what went on in supermarkets, not just js they wouldn't shop there.

There are plenty of people i know who won't get petrol at our station, mostly staff aswel. Legally you can only go down to 5000 litres of fuel per tank. Our store consistently goes below this.

You can go to 3000 litres if you get authorisation from the store manager but before that they have to get authorisation from another store. After that you have to close because it is the crap at the bottom of the tank which can fook with cars.

JS don't think about this all they care about is the money and not the consequences always been the same will never change.

how do you forget how much you put in?

There seem to be a lot of people spending pennies, I don't know if this makes me a freak but I always stop on a £ if I go a penny over I'll continue to the next pound, normally I fill up in multiples of £10 or £5 and when I fill right up I keep forcing the fuel until it reaches dead on a £.

Tell me about it. I said to him pump number 3 £10, yeah he said so i take his payment blah blah blah. Then the other guy came in and said pump 3 so i went outside and the other bloke sped off, moron. Countless people come in and say don't know which pump its £10 i feel like saying do you know how many people put £10 in lol.

I know i rant alot but people dont understand unless they work in retail. When i fill up i always look at the pump number and if i go over also carry on to the extra £1 always. Had a guy who came in and said he was pump 16, they must have built an extra 6 pumps while i was sleeping last night lol cos there was only 10 last time i looked.

There is also a guy who comes in and spends £3 or less on fuel, £1.79 it was the other night. I really don't get it.

I had to go on a two day course down south all expenses paid for my training!

A lad I used to work with used to put a couple of pound in each time he went to a petrol station which was daily! and then he really scared me when he started screaming and balling outside a petrol station "I'm nice sick of this, I am stopping for petrol everyday!"

I really didn't get his rant, and he nearly took my head off when I suggested filling up the tank on a Sunday evening!

Wish i could say the same i'd feel alot safer. People are really strange this is what i say, why not just fill up for the week, some people have no logic. I have so many stories, could go on all night.

I'll leave you with the woman who queues for pump 4 everytime she is in even if it is peak hours and there are queues she has to have pump 4 and we get shouted at because people can't access other pumps lol.

Night all!
