I do not particually like davinci, however if you are experiencing the phone being powered on when connected to the computer, it may be because the battery needs charging. Sometimes this can happen but your problem sounds a bit different.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

SMJohns,
FOrgot to mention that the address book does indeed show state & zip code. I had to remove the battery several times to get the software to read the phone.
I have now noticed that the phone constantly loses its signal since the flash. I am now sitting at work and cannot receive a signal. Previously it worked fine.
Can the flash wreck the reception signal? |

To add to the above post.....I have completed a network search and it finds voda & O2 fine but not Orange or TMobile. In fact I have tried a Voda sim and all works well.
Can the firmware have stopped me receiving 1800 networks? |

I am not sure what is causing your problems but it does not sound good. So many people offering different opinions on Davinci and also with differing results. I am not sure what is causing these probs but they do not sound good.
Have you tried the SEUS again? It could be that it will sort out your probs....although it could cause even more .
I think I am just going for a master reset this weekend and then I will try the SEUS again to see if it resolves the operator blocking prob. If that works, regardless of whether I have 999, I think I will stick with what I have rather than trying to reflash. Hopefully SE will fix their SEUS soon or the likes of davinci will come up with a client that is far more reliable and works properly with the DSS-25. |
