It seems certain regional firmware has the shutter sound silenced when the phone is in silent mode.
If you use SETOOL you can edit the xml file yourself and change what you like then upload to the phone and master reset and the settings are applied, although they do recommend that you do not do this and completely flash your phone instead, that way the xml file gets uploaded with the firmware. |

Ok I had several failed attempt so update to R2AA001 which was down to SEUS but successfully updated to R2AE033 first time a couple of days ago. I started noticing problems and checked the update log and noticed some errors. I tried to flash again using SEUS and it now confirms that I can not update as my operator no longer permits. The thing is my phone was purchase as a SIM/Operator free phone so what is all this about?
I enclose the full log and hope someone can help out. I assume this is an SE fault but what do you lot reckon?:

If it works without giving you trouble dont bother. It is just a couple of error messages in the service menu. Dont reflash it and enjoy your phone.

So the fact that SEUS is now saying my phone cannot be updated is probably an error? Hopefully they will have it fixed for R2AG001? The reason I am looking for an upgrade is that every time I try and sync, all my phone entries are duplicated on the phone. My PC copy of the numbers are fine though....weird. |

Have updated a K700i two times now...
First to R1L, and second time to R2AE no problems at all...
Also updated P900 twice, an a P910i once. No problems at all...

I have successfully used SEUS before and yet for the last few weeks its been telling me I can't because my operator doesn't allow it. (Which is ridiculous, since its an unlocked phone that I have updated via SEUS before.)
Anyway, that's fixed now. Its allowing updates again.

Done my P910i with no problems & bought a K700i 2 days ago and updated firmware straight out of the box with no problems, all went smooth.
I must say I'm bloody impressed with the K700i reminds me of my first T68 but with lots of bells & whistles. Even making me consider using it over my P910i !!! |
