@mers, you are right, the asian version does have a crippled search function. And it has been said in first post mwarner's k700/K500 firmware's overview thread.

D'oh. That's what I get for reading too fast. Time for a firmware replacement. Hope I can get DaVinci to work.
And to try to stay on topic, the R2AE033 update worked like a charm. I did however lose one of my joystick shortcuts (Down) for some reason. Odd. |

Find something weird in the log posted above. In the log, it says the script version is R2AE003, but it is in fact R2AE033 (the software info on phone says so)! This is probably only a mistake of the log.
Nothing has found lost so far  but the previously corrupted things are still corrupted  I will do more research later.
@Mers:
Confirmed there is no multi-character search facility in the phonebook of K700c or I haven't found one yet
