This is the Outlook 2000 security update (which is built into Outlook XP which I use) that introduced this feature.
It does say...
----------
Customizing the Behavior of the Security Update
If you are not running Outlook in an Exchange Server environment, or your mail is delivered to a local Personal Folders file (.pst), you cannot configure the settings for the update and you must use the full feature set of the update.
If you run Outlook in a Microsoft Exchange Server environment and your e-mail messages are delivered to a server-based mailbox, your administrator can control specific features that are included with the update. However, if your mail is delivered to a Personal Folders file (.pst), then you cannot configure the settings for the update.
----------
I have searched many a time for an option to disable this, both in the outlook options and searching through the registry, so if you find something I will certainly give you a big round of applause!

You shouldn't have said that. Now I am probably going to sit all day trying to figure it out

Good! I like to give people a challenge!
Anyway it will make your day slightly more interesting than just setting up Office XP!

I havn't had a chance to..yet
Spent the whole monday night putting together my new PC
Spent the whole tuesday night shopping for a new PC table
On the bright side, I used only 25 minutes to install Windows XP.
Anyhow, I will be setting up OfficeXP + software tonight, so hopefully I'll be able to take a look at the problem

I have installed both. I have just tested XTNDConnect with Office XP over (my new) bluetooth. No warning message.

with XTND for T610 syncing T610? No I don't get any message with that either.
I only ever got the message with the communication suite for the P800 while syncing the P800. (think I mentioned that earlier in this thread)

oh! cheers mate! I thought I was quite profficient with office XP until I read that! and I thought wrath000 was doing a pretty good job too
I'm still pretty sure there is no setting in Outlook to turn that warning message off.
So... did you install that program I suggested? |

I am unable to simulate the problem! I've been trying everything to get that message, but I simply don't!
@ommadawn
Did the communication suite install completely?
Check Tools->options->other->advanced options->add-ins manager
there should be xtnd plugin there...
