The best advice that I can give you is summed up in two words: stay calm. Trust me, it covers everything. Polite jokes would also come in handy!

Shower her with complements in a way that she likes you but it seems like you don't want her. One day when she is sad, she will speak to you in confidence and take it from there. Pretend you're listening, use some buzz words like 'friendship' and 'respect' etc. next thing you know, you the daddy and she yo' bi'ach.
I do the same with the ladies at work, they know I don't want them but since I'm so nice I get lots of attention. I don't mess the ladies about and never lead them on, they just feed my ego and I love it. Learn from the bad ass. |

No, what I meant was to keep your emotional distance. Be a friend and a stranger at the same time. Can't really explain it, you'll have to experience it yourself to get the feeling of this 'right distance'.

probably best to avoid this sort of thing though if she is the serious type. i can get away with it because im a clown
