Remember this?
your hardly coming from a neutral corner on this.
Even though it's not grammatically correct, I'd call that "offering an opinion" - not on the topic, no, but that's what you said.

Cut the crap, I've tried it - and I've got it! I think I know what I'm talking about.... I don't see you with one, do I?
Yes i know you've tried it, but if i remember, your standard in audio quality is what i would call "amateurish". We've been through this before and it was very tiring. You're not budging because you're a fanboy at heart and lets just end it there.
Between you and an expert's review?......well thats a tough one

@QVGA
Pathetic as always, and no, I'm not going to end it here, and let you get the last word on this. Rather get this locked than that, tbh.
I know A LOT on SE, and phones in general, and I'm guessing it's quite obvious that I'm not afraid of saying so. I often agree with Eldar, and I guess you could call him an expert on some areas, but that'd be it. Some of his latest so-called professional reviews have included rather childish and very superficial comments on products, not just SE in general.
mweb,
Historically, well yes, partially. And then again, I did get a N95 when it was released, and I've been through a whole lot of non-SE products. I'm far from afraid of saying a product is good, if it is good, no matter what brand it is. You probably wouldn't know this partially due to your almost non-existing activity here as well as the fact that I don't generally engage in discussions about other manufacturers, mainly because I don't have the time to do so. That doesn't mean that I don't read them, though, and it most certainly doesn't mean that I don't try the products either.

Your knowledge of phones has nothing to do with how you perceive audio quality of MP3 players/phones. Like i said it before, all it takes is two ears.

That's absolutely right. And Eldar works with phones. And I'd agree that he's an expert when it comes to phones. Not audio, and most definitely not photography for that matter.

wow
cant believe how ppl can go each other over phones
at the end of day , different ppl have different opinions
we should always respect each other opinions and not fight over thm
after all, we have to remember its 2 phones we r talking abt ... technology which should be used for constructive purpose and not destructive

Err...
I just want to say, clear audio experience isn't BS or gimmick.
It clearly does make the difference. I agree with Michell, ocean, Rifqi and aasimtom, outstanding audio quality. My K850 has a crap audio quality compared to W980.
Now we have counted 5 people that has tried W980 and praise it's audio quality. Maybe Eldar has a proto?
It's better to try W980 yourself and comment, rather than be pathetic and believes all Eldar's word...
And yeah Eldar is right about Clear Stereo. IMO, it sometimes makes the music comes unnatural. But it's very rare, and only happen within a music that has passed reverb processing too much... I'm audiophile, btw...
In most cases, I likes Clear Stereo, makes a songs has more spirit inside it. Clear Bass works perfectly, better than low-pass DRC processing

Well said. BTW I am a proud owner of W980 and the sound quality is just astonishing and that's why the EISA award went to W980 for best music phone. So why not W760 or any other W-series or Brand e.g. Nokia (dedicated chips) won the EISA award.

Well said Hiron.
Since W880, I put Walkman series in lowest priority and go for buying only UIQ and Cyber-shot due to lack of innovations, but I changed my mind after having experiences with W980. Now I consider myself buying W902 thanks for Clear Sound and Clear Bass of W980. I hope the sound quality of W902 is the same or better than W980.

@Rifqi,
Yup, right now I'm quite confused to choose between W902 or C905...
Should I bought W902 and DSC-T300, then bring it together everywhere? If only SE combining both of Walkman and CyberShot...
Offtopic: It's 1.34 am (GMT+8) at the moment... Now it would be a good decision if we go to bed, and dreaming about CyberWalkman phones...

But the design of W902 is just so-so, not bad and also not good. It's just like a mid-end phone. That's why I prefer W980 over that.
