well, been a while since my video isn't working post lol, if only that was the only thing wrong with this joke of a phone
the w910i is now notoriously known for being the worse phone ever and constantly turns itself off (I know at least 5000 who have the same problem), I am now taking the retailer to court and awaiting a decision from the judge shortly |

Try playing the videos from the File Manager and not the media player.
The k850i with latest firmware still has this same out of sync problem when playing videos from the media player. But if you play them from the File Manager is *usally fixes the problem (how the video was encoded does have an affect).
Also note you can still do full screen landscape when watching videos from the File Manager.

@jpixels....
good luck taking them to court and getting anything off them or even the case making it to court!
If you read the small print of ANY mobile phone they have clauses built into the use of them (much like anything you use in the world) that advises that whilst they expect the device to work most of the time there are times when a device will not work fully.
That is why the manufacturers have in place Warranties. So before this gets to court they would suggest you to prove that you have tried to have the problem fixed by sony ericsson or orange themselves and that this has been tried on at least 3 occasions. after the third occasion it would then be considered best practice for the manufacturer to replace the device (this would generally be with a like 4 like if the phone is still being manufactured and possibly a reconditioned model, this again is perfectly within the law!).
Again the above is my own knowledge from working in my current job within Vodafone who as you will prob know have a lot of cases like this go in their favour as the people who take them to court do so on the heat of the moment and dont think or look into what has to be done legally to begin with!
And plus this is just a little help as you would be wasting your own money trying to take them to court for somethin like this. |

it's amazing how many people don't read the terms and conditions beforehand.
having said that, the w910 is still a lemon that has been disappointing to most customers, it appears. |

W910 is a poor phone. The best thing is the screen. Weedy mp3 sound toy like build cant hear conversations when talking on it weedy back speaker. Ah i could go on |

i understand how ppl are annoyed at the phone and that these sorta things shouldnt happen to most phones but takin huge companies to court over these things is daft for the reasons i listed above...

Sorry that's not quite true as Orange and even the executive office in their infinite wisdom decided lying to me was OK. Telling me i was not aloud to update my SE P900 even though their was an Orange leaflet in the box telling me how. But when i wrote a letter direct to the legal department pointing all this out and telling them that if it wasn't resolved in 7 days i was without further notice issuing a summons. Suddenly i received a full refund and cancelled the contract with no penalty or fees.
Just because they are a big company and have a legal department doesn't make them always right.
Marc

True story: Many years back a big American company took Nokia to court and won. Their claim was loss of business. Nokia supplied them in a contract of some sort phones and over a long period the phones were so bad being unusable on many occasions they claimed they lost business cos of it. It was a long time ago i read it. |

I wouldn't exaggerate so much. Makes you sound like an immature 12 year old whining like a baby.

I dont understand how can you blame the retailer. They never made the phone they just sold it to you blame SE if anything though i doubt you would get far on this one. And yes its a little over the top how can you know of 5,000 cases with same problem do you know that many people. Man i wish i was that popular LOL |

If the law is the same as in Belgium, it is the responsibility of the retailer to check that what he sells works like advertized. So, he is responsible and the one to be sued by the client. Of course, he then would in turn sue SE or discuss with SE of a good gentleman (? ehem...) agreement.
Same as when several laptop makers got problems with the Sony batteries.
