Any Idea when this will be released in the UK?
I'm thinking of taking out a contract soon and this one of the phones on my list.

LG presented 'Shine Desinger's Edition', a special limited edition decorated with Korean typescript. Designed by Li Sang Bong, a renowned Korean designer, the back of the mobile phone is engraved with the original text of a poem of Yoon Dong Joo. We are sure you are wondering who this fellow is. He is one of the most beloved poets in Korea. His poems expressed futility in living and rebellion against Japan as well as the reality of Korea at that time.

I got my Shine last Saturday, and personally I think it's excellent, the build quality is first rate and all the rear and the majority of the front is also metal. The photo cromatic screen is awesome, works very well, and the UI is actually very intuative and simple to use.
OK,so it's not technically up there with the market leaders, but by and large it has some great features and has some great little options that SE and Nokia don't offer.
All in all it's a 8.5/10 phone.

the chocolate also had a wiper in the box, so not totally new, probably the best thing about recent LG's are the boxes and contents because the actual phones are pieces of junk

That is not true to say that the phones are junk, I have one, and had a chocolate, and whilst I'll admit that the chocolate is a bit basic, it's fundamentaly a good 'general' use phone. The Shine is actually a very polished product (pardon the pun).
and no I'm not a LG only fan, I own lots of differnet mobiles, from SE, Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, LG, Blackberry.

fair enough mate, its the same with everything i suppose, some people will like things and others dont.
i have tried a few LG's in the past, and found them to be cheap feeling(choco included) and very basic UI wise (like a cheap samsung)

Oh I won't argue the UI is a little basic compared to some phones, but if you want to make calls, txt, mms, browse web and take pics/video it certainly does the trick. |
