EDIT: here are some codes care of :some BS site:

How to check Life Timer and Cell Info
- Enter 1 of these code at home screen *#92702689# OR *#92772689#.
- Life timer shortcut for the 8260: press and hold "#" for five seconds.

*Note: These codes only work on some Nokia.

How to tell if your phone is Locked or Unlocked?
#pw+1234567890+1# for Provider-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+2# for Network-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+3# for Country-Lock status
#pw+1234567890+4# for SimCard-Lock status

*Note: if for instance you enter the first code and you get from your phone "code error" it means that the provider lock is in place and that only the original SIMs from the operator that originated the service will work. On the first one if instead of entering 1234567890 you enter the code that was given to you by your operator to unlock you'll get a message "SIM restriction off" and then your phone will recycle or you'll have to power down and re-power the phone.
Don't enter more than 3 times or your phone will be lock.

Update: There has been report that those codes will not work on new Nokia models, such as 7210, 6610, 6100, etc. So best bet is to insert a SIM card from another carrier to verify it.

How to check firmware version?

XXXX represents model number

SIM Clock Stop
*#746025625#

Note: Newer SIMs have a feature called 'clock stopping' that allows the phone to save energy -- it is a kind of sleep mode for SIM cards. Not all versions of software support this. You cannot turn the SIM clock on and off, the phone will do it automatically if the SIM supports clock stopping.

Reset Codes for series 60

I thought this might be a useful piece of info for all you people out there with Nokia series 60 phones.

Normal Reset (*#7780#) : Restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc)

Deep Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.

Full phone format on a 6600

If any of the problems listed below is happening to your phone:
A. Blank screen phone unable to boot-up.
B. Phone is only able to boot-up to "Nokia" screen (may flash "Nokia" 4 times also).
C. Install a program but unable to uninstall it.
D. Unable to delete certain files on C drive.

--- WARNING: This will ERASE EVERYTHING on your phone ---

If you have any files that are important to you, make backups.

1. Make sure you phone is fully charged.

2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).

3. Switch-off your 6600 phone.

4. Press and hold these three keys together

-Green dial key,
-Star key (*)
-Three key (3)

then press the power on/off to swtich on the 6600 phone.

Do not let go the three keys until you see the "formatting" screen displayed

5. After a few minutes, the format will be complete. Your 6600 will now be at its original factory settings.

*#7780# wil restore your ini files and preserv user data...
*#7370# will erease all of data from phone memory and than restore new ones from ROM, u will loose all of your personal data, such a Contacts, messages, images, etc...

Three key boot up trick is the same as *#7370# but they dont ask for sec code and they can be used even when the phone wont bootup....

Hi everyone..i had started a similar thread sometime back but it had 2 be locked due to obvious reasons.. Anyway.. Since we've got it going.. Why not post all the necessary codes for nokias here?

Posted by vmaliwal1987
For nokia 6600:
*software version: *#0000#
*reset: *#7370#
I'll add more as i get more

Posted by govigov
Isnt there seperate code for int mem reset and card formatting?

Posted by aff
does the nokia 9210 have a mms site

Posted by govigov
@aff, from the discussion we had yesterday, i thot we agreed that 9210 does NOT have mms. Series80 have seperate reset codes, you must hit three keys when you see the hands coming together in start up animation.

Posted by aff
okay anyway does anyone have an unlocking code for an operator when i get my 9210i which is fabby you know aya is right it is a better functional choice than the p800 i love the key board and does it have opera

Posted by govigov
Yeah, i will try and give you the link to the site next time i'm on a pc. Why dont you check the communicator sites?

If 3650 is s60, then yes, it is possible. (K700 can also be used as a web cam)

Of course the 3650 is S60.

Why should it be under one thread? I have a Nokia 6630 and couldn't care less for any of the other Nokias, I don't want to have to trawl through a massive thread just to find relevent information.

You can't send MIDI ringtones out from the Nokia 6600 because MIDI's are considered as protected content. Ie. you can download MIDI ringtones from the web and do the payment in your phone bill. Then, if you could send this MIDI ringtone to someone else, payment to the author of the ringtone doesn't take place. That is not acceptable under copyright laws.
