do i need the DSS-25 or is there any replacement?

Best is get the DSS-25 its a versatile tool and reliable however, there are other options only if you are not using the update service.

For nomral Updte service you will need the DSS-25 cradle, the software drivers installed, the k700i fully charged and i suggest you backup your phone contcts and other files as a measure of precaution.

The proceed with the update. do provide details instructions on what you need, read up carefully on their website first!

can u please tell me

thanks daniel
'cause teh craddle is a bit expensive

You can only use dss20 or 25 for official update from SE site. If you need to buy a cable, you need the t28 service cable. 3rd party sites offer paid update, but mostly glitch free.

You can get the DSS-25 for about $32.00 (delivered) from http://www.blueunplugged.com in the UK. They take about 10 - 15 days to ship though.
