Hi everyone i was just listening to some mp3 ons my phone and it switched itself off... now when i try to switch it on all it does is flash all its leds once and then go off... only to flash its leds again an stay off... i have tried everything like leavin the battery out wiping the contacts for everythin etc etc but still nothing.
So ne1 got an idea of what this could be? coz it got me bamboozled... lol.
Gonna replace it tomorrow but until then all ma fun has gone

oh dear oh dear, what a cufuffle. And this only happened when you put an mp3 onto your phone?
sounds like it needs a flash to me. Thanks for the warning though, definatley wont be doing that with my V800

weird thing is i have had mp3s on there before and its only a new one i put on it tonight that it has switched off.

was the mp3 especially large, or unique in some way? This is quite an important issue, if people's phones are going to break when they listen to an mp3.

nope wasnt special in any way... an way smaller than most mp3s i had... about 1.3mb i think.... i jus had a smell of the fone an it smells like somethin has burnt in the fone or the battery coz it wont charge either
no lights no nothin...
nice smell though... would love to bottle it an sell it as Burnt SE Odour... for those who love the smell of their fone.
LOL... all i can do is LOL until i fall asleep an forget my fone dont work!

that is incredible, you can actually small the fault with your phone, probably a keen vodafone trained sense

Didn't someone say that when the phone blinks like that it means that the EPROM/GDFS might be corrupted?

YAY IT WORKIN! ALL IT TOOK WAS FOR ME TO SWAP IT WITH A NEW ONE IN WORK... ITS AN EASY WAY OF FIXIN FONES I TELL THEE!
I PUTTIN A NEW POST UP IN GENERAL COZ I FOUND SOME BIG INFO ON ISSUES WITH THE V800 SO PLEASE GO THERE TO READ MY FINDINGS...
