sync station - s700i - calendar sync problem

I am trying to sync Outlook 2000 Calendar with the s700i using Sync Station that came on the CD. I am using bluetooth to connect to the PC (XP Pro w/ SP1)

I have no problem syncing Notes, Contacts, Tasks but when ever I try to sync the Calendar it says "session failed" on the phone and "synchronization failed" on the PC. I have tried to do a forced sync both from PC to Phone and from Phone to PC... but the same error reappears.

I also have a synchronization program that came with my Kensington BT dongle. This program has no problem with synching calendar, notes, tasks, contacts

I had exactly this problem too. After hunting the sony ericsson knowledgebase I found that it wanted Outlook to be the default email client (I normally use Thunderbird).

After switching to use Outlook for the default mail client (under windows Internet settings) the sync started working.
