Hi

I have been searching for Hotmail Access on wap for a while, and at last I found it.

Web - http://mobile.msn.com
Wap - http://mobile.msn.com

There is also a link in MSN messenger 4.6 (Window XP) Tools, Options, Phone, Mobile Device from the menus.

You can configure personal setting on web site. This is US based so all content is US based.

Wap site not brilliant but it lets you get you Email on the move....

You can sign into hotmail? I am only able to get to the front screen and any options that don't require the .net passport sign in.

When I try to sign into mobile.msn.com, I always get an error of unsupported content type. I had heard that the MSN wap page only supports the phone.com minibrowser, which is different than the wap 1.2/2.0 browser included in ericsson phones.

What links EXACTLY do you follow to read your hotmail on wap?

how many times do we have to say that htmail is not accessable via the t68

Well I have the Motorola P280 with Voicestream GPRS service, and it uses the Phone.com browser version 4.1.23c. After entering my username and password, I get an error, something like, "Document contains invalid data"

I have no idea what the problem is, I am able to check Yahoo! mail and AOLmail just fine with the P280. Mail on myrealbox.com works well too.

it looks like msn overhauled their mobile interface, good. but i can't still login, bad. i get an error that the content is too large, oh well.

btw, it is not an msn problem, because nokia phones can login (sigh). so i'm still stuck with t68 and pocket pc combo.

look guys/girls....
im seeing all of ure frustration concerning hotmail wap. i was in the same bout only a few days ago, until.....

i discovered this site:

www.mymail.ie

here, you only have to sign up, answer a few question...simple....and then if ure on nokia, it'll send u ure bookmark but otherwise, it states it at the bottom of the 'successful sign-in' screen. easy. it works perfectly. as with all these things though, the email access on the wap is not brilliant cos its nothing to shout about!! well, have fun guys and reply saying what u all thought or if u have ne questions!!

Cool.....Tom

i have a p800 and when i enter http://mobile.msn.com it opens up the actual html page
How do it make it open up the wap version

I miss that option too, but it looks like that option is not possible. MSN and other sites in general will have to detect \"multibrowsers\" that suppport WAP 1.2, WAP 2.0 (XHTML) and HTML 4.01 .

I dont believe no1 figured out this 1yet:msn is available thru pocket pc and html,NOT WAP! they dont allow free acces but i am sure they have paid agreements with various american cariers on cdma.so..american-like and so pathetic.no1 pays4that when u have free y!messenger.same with the hotmail email which i dont use anymore cuz they suck big time-spammers,no divert,no wap access.use www.yourwap.com instead

hotmail IS available through wap. i can access it on my t68i on orange in the uk.
using the address posted above.
i believe its network/service provider dependant hence the fact some people can get it and others cant.

Posted by 701
i don't know how u do it .I received the message everybody talks about (page too large, blah ,blah ..and pass sign in) in the last year and a half. I am on orange too and still no luck.

Hotmail is available through WAP and CAN BE USED WITH T68i.

The problem is that they have made agreements with Service providers so not everyone can connect. I.e. in the UK I think that only singlepoint and Vodafone customers can connect. That may not be accurate but I know that O2 is not supported along with a few others.

@ slattery: i am in romania but i've tried it from germany and also from a net emulator...still no luck in the last year and a half.So i think it's the agreements i was talking about in an earlier post.

Ive got a T300 on Virgin Mobile UK (switched from T-Mobile - call costs!) and i can get to the mobile homepage, but when I click on one of the links, it says there is something wrong with the page you are opening, please try another link. I dont know if its Virgin, coz I can't download polyphonic ringtones from sites other than SE??? STRANGE!

The Best way to get you Hotmail on your Phone (WAP)
is to register on the Web at www.mymail.ie.

When you do that they will send a bookmark to your phone.

Just click on the phone bookmark and your in.

Really easy and reliable, and it's compleatly FREE.

mobile.msn.com works in my T39m (R4A008)
1. In my @passport account (www.passport.net) Iīve added my mobile number (I did it, but donīt know if it is needed for using mobile.msn.com)
2. In mobile.msn.com I choosed options "mobile number" when you try to sign in "...@passport"
3. Used Next/Accept option in popup menu keeping presssed "yes" button (some wap site need it)
4. And finally added a bookmark in the phone.

I have been using mymail.ie for a while but since mobile.msn.com works...

*if all this is an old thing... sorry

Necrobump!
Although it's 2012, using the WAP or a lighter version of the hotmail site would be very useful for those of us on slow connections such as GPRS, Satellite or dialup when out of ADSL range.

Unfortunately I think to do this on the desktop would require browserID spoofing. Here are the links and how they react under Chrome:

1) http://www.hotmail.com/wap - broken link
2) http://mobile.msn.com - no link to hotmail mobile, only the very bandwidth heavy desktop hotmail site
3) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/hotmail/mobile - goes straight through to the heavy hotmail site
4) https://mid.live.com/si/login.aspx - goes through to the real wap site but after logging in I only get the ability to edit my profile and not see emails.

For option (4) can you have a look on your mobile device and paste the real link to the inbox after logging in for me? This computer is heavily locked down. If not then I'll find out in a few months when I have my own connection again and post it here.
