Hello,
(I searched the SE forum, but only 1 post has a $ solution, and none free...)

How do I unlock my SE T610 for free? I am with T-Mobile in the USA.

I hope u can help.

Look harder next time.

call T-Mobile. It's so simple. One of the few providers that routinely gives out unlock codes.

========

-Must currently have an active account or an account that has been cancelled less than 90 days ago.
-The account must have at least 90 days of active service.
-The account must not be delinquent or in Write Off with an outstanding balance.
-There must be a calling card balance on the account. (There is no dollar amount requirement)
-The name on the request must be listed on the account as the billed party name, authorized user, or contact name.
NOTE: Only one unlock code will be issued per active line per 90 days

Hey Estor, did you know that you can't unlock a SONY Ericsson remotely?!?!? Those can only be done directly, via a cable and software. Nokia's are the only phones that can be unlocked remotely. So no, you couldn't "just call up and get the codes". At the very least, you'd have to take it into a service center. And leafgreen, check your PM's. I wrote you.

I need software to unlock my t610. I bought the t28 service cable, I didn't get any software with it and I don't want to pay for unlock credits. can anyone point me in the direction of some freeware unlock software.

Regards

Nick

You, sir, are completely and totally incorrect.

SonyEricsson phones do NOT require software and a cable to remove SIM locks. These can be undone by entering the correct code into the SIMLock menu in the service settings (>*<<*<*). This code is generated by IMEI, and T-Mobile in the USA will provide this to a customer by request.

In addition, you can ALSO remove these locks via a cable and software, but for this functionality in particular, the cable and software are purely extraneous. Upgrading the firmware, modem flash, and GDFS require a cable.

Please do your homework next time.

Hi all, I'm based in the Caribbean.I bought my SE t610 off of amazon.com, it was a t-mobile phone, but I purchased it without the plan.

My local service provider unlocked and activated the phone and it worked fine. Now I've bought a SE P 900 and have transferred my sim card to that phone, the problem is that whever I try putting in another sim card into the t610 it is asking for a phone unlock code (not a sim unlock code)......that I don't remember. Don't worry it's not the manufacturer default... I tried that and every other code that I could think of that I may have put in. I even tried a master reset...... but to no avail. This phone works only with my sim card. My service provider has given me the PUK & IMEI and that dosen't work either, they've recommended that I take the phone back to t-mobile......but this really is not practical. Can anyone help me with a phone unlock code ?

the default fone lock code is 0000. if u changed it, probably an se service will solve this problem.

It is possible to unlock it with a terminator dongle. Now before anyone gets all on my @$$, yes, I know the primary use for a terminator dongle IS TO UNLOCK THE SERVICE PROVIDER LOCK, however, it can also clear the phone's lock codes. That's the only thing I can think of.

As a bonus, you can upgrade friends' phone's firmware.

on deleting a wap profile:
"T610: 'Not available because current profile is locked' "
on new wap profile:
"T610: 'Currently unavailable' "
on edit a wap profile:
"T610: 'Currently unavailable' "

the phone has 5 wap profies already and maybe it has reached the max limit.
one of the wap profile can be edited, this one was created by my network provider, the other 4 'locked' wap profiles were created by the original provider of the phone.

i want to know if i can 'unlock the profile' and how to do it.

thank you!

Nope.

you will either have to get the NCK code from your net or use a cable solution, the only way

Listen to the first replyAs i got my t610 unlocked from tmobile give them your imei number Or whatever it is to tmobile and they will e mail you the unlock code You must have the phone for 90 days before they will do this.but you need to find someone with a non tmobile sim card to put in your phone to unlock it then you can put your tmobile sim back in and use it
