I though that project z700 was cancelled but I've heard something different from Eldar Murtazin today. Hmmmm I'll post more pictures on my site;] I think that design would be more up-to-date in new z700. It is only some rare prototype. I found some differences between mine z700 and other proto's

I love the design and this was supposed to be my next phone before it was canceled (cause I had the Z5 and the Z7 before this one, the Z700 was the most logic update, I love the flip), but for now the screen is just too small!! But we'll see if it will really come out. Actually, I don't think it so.
Btw. Bohdan, where will those pictures be on your site??

stil this is just a rumor, we'll have to wait on confirmation from SE
i personally like flip phones. and if they would restile this one, ericsson addapter for assecories and a bit thinner, maby a build in cam, then this could be a phone i'm gonna buy

Nice but i think this is waaaay too late for the Z700.It`s almost identical to the Z5 and that one was too expensive.Iwouldnt buy one as i had an experience with a Z5...nice but nuthin great in particular.

When it first was going to be realesed they found out that is would be to expansive for the ones who should buy it (15-25). Now it maybe not so expansive anymore and they have updated it and realese it again...

LOL, why is everyone always comparing this phone with the Z5?? I mean, I know its a predecessor but it looks 10 times more like the Z7, even the menu structure is exactly the same.
Btw. Bohdan, great pictures man!! Do you by chance have a picture of the menu's in the phone? And how's the functionality? Is it full of bugs or does it work properly?
I was in love with this phone.......... and I hope SE will make a phone like this one. (With a larger screen, mp3 player, good camera, extendable memory, etc.)

2 years ago when this mobile was anounced by SonyEricsson it looked a nice phone. I wanted one. Now these days the design is a bit oldfashionned. But i like the idea of bringing new Flip phones and a Z700 (better options then the Z600)
I am searching for a go between of a Z600 (not that nice design and not that WOW!) and a P900 (to expansive)
Maybe the Motorolla V500 / V600. But if they are planning to bring out the Z700 again with an S.Ericsson socket on the bottom. Why not.
In the days of the Z700 there was the rumour that it should be possible to play Playstation games on it.

Hope the new one will be as good as a combination of both the T610/T630 and Z600. Remove the silly camera. Make it an attachment. At least high resolution cams are available, it can be upgraded. Damn....built in cams...get a life....

but it just make the flip only function as a cover for the keypad and tht function you mentioned.
I am greedy...prefer to have the mic there as well. Of course then it also mean once you break the flip, you must replace it.
BTW I believe mic on the flip give better acoustic. Well tht's on design stuff as with speaker and mic in one body, they will need to do more tweaking to prevent echo.

Horrid! Always hated the old Sony's, if they're gonna resurrect a flip phone they're using the wrong one, make it based upon the T39, now that **was** a good phone

Well they look the same, but are completely different. The Z700 is rounder, has a 256 screen, IRDA, Bluetooth, Java, etc. And the Z7 doesn't.

Well really it isnt even a Z700, I cant imagine SE would make a phone like that, I mean look at the flip!
I think SE would make a Z700 but not at least for another 6 months, and it would be more similar to the Z600 in the form of a traditional Clam Shell
Whats the point of a flip that does nothing?

but in my opinion the z700 is not well designt - if its done right you have the same result as on a normal clamshell phone, with positiv effects which flip phones don't share with clam phones > (small - when open) (thin - when closed)

after looking at the picture post earlier. I believe this is just the old Z700 tht never make it to the market.
the system connector isn't the std SE connector we used. In fact it look more like the Z5 connector!!!.
Unless SE finally decide to change the connector design for new platform, otherwise this phone will not be out
anyway this phone didn't have a mic on the flip. Take a look on the picture in first page and you can see there's a mic hole at the bottom of the main body.
the flip is just protecting the key, and maybe helping user to block some noise or work as active flip only.
