hey everyone
im new here, this is really a great forum you have going here . i saw a review and some screenshots of the p800 as well as the flash demo on sony ericsson's site, and i have to say that i'm absolutely foaming in the mouth...i really want this baby BADLY! can anyone feel my pain? if ONLYYYYY it were a little smaller, i think i'd be convinced...but i really haven't seen this thing yet, i have some questions for current p800 users:
1) are you OK with the p800 in terms of size? i mean is it pocketable? i really don't want that thing bulging out of my jeans while im sittin down on the train if u know what i mean! i currently use a T68 or a samsung S105 most of the time, and i really can't feel them in my pocket most of the time. will this be a shock if you wear tight pants?
2) this question is specific to p800 users on the t-mobile USA network....how is the call quality on the p800 w/t-mobile?
3)is this phone worth thte $650 price tag???
4)how does it compare with the upcoming siemens SX1??

1) are you OK with the p800 in terms of size?
It is not small. But i have no problem with it's size. Before i had Nokia 8290/8210 and been able to hide it any where. You cant do it with P800 but i compered it with nokia 33XX it is not much smaller. And if you need PDA (if dont then why you need p800) it still will be bigger size. If you will buy belt holder it will be gust perfect. Also some people actuly like phones that have some waight. However better try it in your hands before buying.
2) how is the call quality on the p800 w/t-mobile?
Well i like it. I never had good reception with t-mobile. Phones i used Nokia 8290, t68i and they was not better. I actuly think p800 is better. My cauch infront of TV is the worst place to talk from. Buy on P800 i never hed even 1 disconect because of bad reception. Inside i have 2 lines in my appartment. But, but sound quality is still good. I think it's better then t68i (my opineon) not worth for shure.
3)is this phone worth thte $650 price tag???
For me... HELL yes. Functions that it's got a head of all the pones i saw. t68i and t100 looks like something old and outdated.
I have no home phone, do not need internet home (only email) with gsrp and built in email i can e_mail easyly then from PC. Also i can brouse internet if i have somethink small to do. Like check updates for my clases. It cant edit word files. but can open them so i can view them any where.
4)how does it compare with the upcoming siemens SX1??
Newer used. Do no much. P800 have tuch screan does SX1. If it does not i would say SX1 not what you would want. + screan size on P800 is good. And less size wasted on keys like on XS1. if you need do dial why cant csrean be your dial pad.... And when you use PDAfunctions. Why would you need dial pad keys.
Also writing letter on screan makes you ask your self. HOW DOES THOSE POPLE USE MULTITAP.

Need more info fill free to ask. I will be happy to chat with you

1. well about the size .. that's the black mark about the p800
plus .. im never have it in my jeans pocket coz a heard a lot of guyz saying that they broke the screen while having it in their pockets

2. the sound quality is quite good ... I have no complains

3. sure ! 650$ damn that's cheap for such a piece of HI-TECH

4. nothing to compare , the only thing that sx1 has better than the p800 is it's size ! otherwise ... P800 kicks SX1 ass a thousand times!
with the touch screen u can do anything u could do on a PDA .. ofcourse some games are hard control ... if u gonna buy a phone to play games choose a phone with a joystick ..
