Hi all, my mp3 player arrived today in the post.
I've tries searching for this but couldn't find an answer.
Is it possible to turn the keylock on on one T68 when listening to the mp3 player? Or will this be available in a software update?
Also it says R1C on the back of my MP3 unit, and I was wandering if the software is included in the phone or mp3 unit? On the packaging it says you may need a software update to use the MP3 player with your phone

Says R1D on back of my MP3 unit!! Sure its not just part of the serial number? Full reference is KRY 105 174 R1D.
I needed no extra software to work with my T68

to be honest, i don't really like associating mp3s with the t68.
it's a waste of time, i have myself a creative nomad, holds up to 20 gigs of mp3 music and it's awesome stuff.
the radio extension i had woti the t16s was good though. i liked that.

Someone said something about using the mp3 player when you have the leather case on the phone to make the connection tighter. Personally I hate leather cases so try putting a tiny piece of card between the phone and the mp3 and t68 (you'll need to experiment with the thickness) this should push the two apart giving a nice strong conection
Note this works with hundreds of mobiles that turn themselves off - you'll find that it's normally due to a loose connection with the battery so placing a folded piece of paper under the battery gives a secure connection and hence the phone stops turning off

so what's good and what's Bad :
I can't find any information (even in previous forms

The quality of the music is EXCELLENT, handsfree options are
but mine blocks all the time, could be cos my software is R1B
I think for 38 quid, it's a bloody bargain... you can't go wrong for that price. The Nokia one costs 200-300 quid...
Buy it!

Hey Guys
Not sure where to put this post as sooo many peeps ask the questions that I have answers to:
For purchasing the mp3 player, you can get them at around £25 on Ebay, which is brand new boxed. www.ebay.co.uk
For purchasing extra MMC cards goto: http://www.allmobileaccessories.co.uk/buy/product_integral_mmc.shtml
You can here pick up a 128MB MMC card for £39.99 inc vat and del.
YES, the 128MB cards will work in the MP3 player. Straight away, no problems.
If you get poor sound quality push the headphones in the jack and press tightly, until a small click sound is heard. This also stops a popping noise that is also sometimes heard.
As for the memory card reader, download the latest drivers from sony ericsson website, and install these before you do anything else. Do not install any drivers from the CD if possible. This works first time with no problems at all on Windows 200 professional and any 9x series.
Song quality can be as high as you like, no limits of Kb, i tend to use 128Kb quality bitrate for a very good sound. I can fit 31-50 songs onto the 128MB disk at this quality.
Battery life is affected as would be expected, but i dont think it draws too much to be honest. I use the MP3 for about an hour a day, plus usual phone use and I still get at least 60hrs use from the phone.
You cannot use any menus or txts while listening to music. This is due to limitations of the phone, not the MP3 player.
I hope this helps some of you guys that ask questions, and for all my mates who i sent here to read this, it should be all u need to know!
Cheers guys

I'm using my MP3 player and a cassette adapter to listen to MP3 music on the car. Also I'm able to use it as handsfree with this setup.
With 128 MB MMC, as said before, it is possible to listen to 20 to 30 songs.
Sound quality is good. The only drawback is that the connector is not securely fixed to the MP3 player body thus leading the connector to PCB wires to break. In this case since the unit is not powerd or some signals are missing, the phone is unable to detect the MP3 player.
It is consuming battery power but that is inevitable. You need battery power to create sound at the earphones. If you want high volume than you need to drain the battery.
I had the same phone lockup but not so often.
My opinion is that it is a nice gadget and I have plans to build an interface for operating it from PC or build a standalone small controller.
