Hi Danny,

I just got my phone .

I had pre-installed the 1.1.1 version of the PC sync software on my XP laptop before the phone was delivered so all I did was connect phone to the sync station and then the sync station to the usb socket (you have to have the power adapter plugged into the sync station).

XP then asks you to install the drivers so let it search the CD (the one with the original sync software on). It should then connect.

If things still dont work, uninstall everything and then if you have a different usb socket use that.

Pete.

I had to do a complete reinstall of XP (and my main apps.)to get it working (the 1.1.1 software).
Something was causing an interuption. Everything is smooth now & connects everytime. Make good use of System Restore if you find an application messes up the connection.

Yes, I use a MS USB reader & it is much faster for data transfer but with only the 16MB card its not such an issue. Will use a lot more when I get a 128MB card.

cheers guys.

psikey. can you choose folders on the card readers. have you used this?

You can see the full directory structure that the P800 creates but looks like you can only have your folders one level deep.

For example:

In the mediaimage folder there is the usual unfiled folder. If I create a folder in the image folder such as Backgrounds that is OK but if I then put a subfolder in Backgrounds such as Landscapes then put my pictures in it, they don't show up in searches or picture application so:

d:Media filesimageBackgrounds is OK
but
d:Media filesimageBackgroundsLandscapes is not OK

Only tried this once though so I could be missing something.

I have had lots of Fun (not) with Bluetooth connection but have got working OK & did the web browsing trick through the PC's dial-up connection with Opera. If your having problems with the cradle, you may also get problems with the Bluetooth connection through the software suit. Worth getting the cradle link sorted first.
