hiii, i have a SE j20i phone im using it since 1year. weekdays back i got problem with display, i replaced lcd with the new one(non branded). after replacing it the videos were not playing and phone is freezing with blur screen,no lights glowing on menu keypad,no sound from ear speaker. i asked the service person about these problems, he said the problem is with strip. is it true...???? or the problem with s/w or with duplicate lcd???

I wish I could help you mate, not really sure here but it could be the duplicate lcd that's causing problems, since it's the only one that's been replaced. If it was the strip only then the phone should still work only without display. Again not completely sure. I used to have
j20i too, had it for 2.5 years.

And haven't you tried another LCD? Have you taken it apart tried the process again?

I just changed the flex cable(duplicate) on mobile.
Now, the keypad lighting and the earspeaker were working.
But video is not playing.
The duplicate strip doesnt contain the connector to the cam button(side) and the sensor for open/close and auto adjust brightness sensor at top of phone.

@tranced I tried changing 3lcds but problem persists,may be problem with the lcd.

maybe you could try with a strip (flex cable) that has all of the connections? it seems that the phone's software is looking for those connections which is why it's experiencing bugs.

after changing the flex cable,the battery is not charging when the phone is in turn-on. if i need to charge the battery i have to turn-off the phone and plug in for charging.
