And so the saga continues, yes Apple are at it again with a 2nd bout of lawsuits against Samsung. Personally I think its a complete joke, there is no way whatsoever the SG3 is anything like the iphone. If you think it is you must be deluded. Apple are really doing a proper 1984 and people need to realise they are ruining the once competitive market of tech but no these idiots think its ok to sue and ban products which are more superior to their own. I used to admire Apples ideas years ago but now they are just idiots. Their product sucks and really the iphone 5 I wont be giving it a look in as its just another boring Apple product. Actually supporting a company which does its business by suing others really puts me off them and furthermore I will never ever go back to Apple. Microsoft & Google Im happy to support your products as Im always happy using them!

Do we really need multiple threads talking about the same thing? Its getting tiring to see it everywhere.
What Apple did:

What Microsoft did:

Only differences you will find here, will be due to your own biased opinion. Moreover, s3 is not sued for looking like iphone, but based on different patents.
Lastly, all of you guys need to chill, nothings going to happen, there will be a re appeal and what not. Its just free ad for samsung. Thanks to this issue, your choice of company will always rock the headlines, no matter how mundane it is, will be claimed as the next biggest thing, same like apple's products.

Yes but it will be a talking point cos Apple are trying ban Samsung from selling their devices around the world. Yet it's the majority of the public that wants Samsung devices right now. People will be pissed and angry and Apple did not invent all this shit they're ranting on about. Frankly I am sick to the teeth of Apple and will never buy any product of theirs again. The iPhone 4 when I had it was shit anyway. Samsung are innovating and making products miles ahead of what Apple is making. And their latest products are NOT a rip off of Apple. I seen a 20 minute video of the new Note 2 yesterday and all the new features Samsung have innovated themselves and it's an incredible device. Apple iPhone 4s is stone age compared to it. The look of it is different,the icons are different etc. Feck off Apple. @chunkybeats I posted that same link this morning in the other thread

Not only is it greedy but I think that they are desperate. They are being beaten and have no where else to go. They stand to lose quite a bit including the following;
-1) they would lose the pricing power that they have with cellphone operators especially ones like ATT and Verizon in the USA who want to end the large subsidies they are paying Apple and eating their bottom lines. Take a look at their financial statements and you will see that although those two companies have large revenues their profits are being undercut by the subsidies to Apple.
-2) If the current trend growth of android continues Apple would be forced to reduce the price of their phones and thus lose out on profits and market power would cause them be compete more and more with the likes of Samsung, HTC, Sony and Motorola.
-3) The iPhone is their main driver in the last five years. If the iPhone goes down so does the company.
Number one of the above is the main issue for Apple and the cellphone companies. Companies are tired of spending so much money on subsidies especially to one company. If the companies reduce those subsidies which they want to, costumers would be less wiling to spend so much money on an iPhone and thus Apples exorbitant fees would drop.

sorry man I just couldnt wait to let off some steam about this subject!
Im not a Samsung lover or Apple lover but I just hate how Apple think they can get away with this petty suing, personally they are bad apples. They need to get their so called much hyped iphone 5 out, if its another 4s mark 2 then its the end of them! I think it will use the same lens as the Xperia S and a 4 inch screen, and that anal we want our own connection power plug wow! Innovating there......
The new Xperias with their interesting 13mp Cameras are going to be the ones to watch. I really do hope Sony claw back some of that market share from Apple as really right now its Sony and Samsung being innovative the rest are kind of sleeping and a bit lost.

Anything apple does is always a news and will be seen by public. (For ex- Its considered breaking news that apple might bring a redesigned headphone.) The same way now you will see everything samsung as breaking news.
These things have always been common, but in recent years, we have had oracle vs google, microsoft vs android oems, and then the most biggest news was apple vs samsung. Even though there was more threat to the whole android ecosystem and every oem involved with android in oracle vs google.

Eventually Apple will be seen as being on par with top handset makers such as Samsung and the others. That is one of their biggest fears. I already believe that they are on par or that Samsung out does them. Once this belief sets in people will not be as willing to pay outlandish prices for basic features.
Samsung and others just need to improve their software features. Hardware wise they are good.
