My dad has a Sony Ericsson Elm. He really likes it, however it is constantly turning itself off. In the middle of calls, when it's sitting there doing nothing etc. This basically makes the phone useless, it seems sony ericsson are STILL unable to make a phone that works. Is anyone else having this problem/know how to fix it? He's gona go back to phones 4 u but I doubt the tight barstards will do anything ahahaha. What do you think?

Make sure the battery fits well in its place. Also check its firmware version. Could be a bug.

I never had a single issue with the Elm when I had it. Never turned itself off at all. Where did you get it how old is it can you return it?? You obviously have a duff one. If not update firmware via SEUS

To old to return I recon a trip to P4U is in order, I think he deserves a new one tbh if it's a defective phone.

You can always try reflashing the firmware by using SEUS. My Hazel used to switch itself off while it is in the pocket but I reflashed it and so far it stopped randomly switching off.

You can get SEUS at SE's support page.
