Hi buddy, the is no way you can browse internet for free with vodacom-SA I've thought it was possible.

Do I need Vodafone live to be able to browse the homepage?

When I type live.vodafone.com into my browser, it just says Page cannot be found.

I am using vlive! setting and under APN its just written 'internet'

However I cannot browse the homepage. It just says page cannot be found. I think its because Im not using a vodafone handset.

I tried it and I also get an error in Opera mini mod 2.06. I entered all the settings exactly like on the third post and I can browse the vodafone live website for free. The error says the following: An error occured c:msg:Invalid host name ex=cd=4 resp=0 host=live.vodafone.com@80.232.117.10:80).

I am sure that I am using the vlive! internet profile with the right vodafone proxy and everything (else I wouldn't be able to browse vodafone live for free in any way).

Please help!

Are you registered on vodacom4me? if not! register and get your username and password then loggin again to activate your account, then try http://live.vodafone.com on your default browser it should be free. Here is where you must register http://www.vodacom4me.co.za goodluck.

Ok I still can't get free browsing working. Here are all my settings, please check if I am not doing something wrong.

Here are my internet profile settings:

Data account name: Vlive!
APN: Vlive
Username:
Password:
Login request: Off
Ip address: ...
DNS address: ...
Authentication: PAP
Data compression: Off
Header compression: Off
Proxy settings: On, multiple

Proxy: On
Same for all servers: Off
Proxy servers-
HTTP: Proxy address: 196.006.128.012 Port: 8080
Secure: (Same as HTTP)
Streaming: (Same as HTTP)

Here are the settings I put into Opera mini mod 2.06:

Shadow connect:Enabled
Address: live.vodafone.com
Timeout: 120 secs
Additional: left clear
Opera Mini Server: http://live.vodafone.com@80.232.117.10:80
Reset sever at error: Off

I am using a data bundle though, but when I browse live.vodafone.com it doesn't use any of my data bundle or airtime.

does it have ip? doest it have free site?
Cause i think that one is likely the same as we are using the http.globe.com.ph which we always use for the ip trick,

philippines = S.A
Globe Connect = vlive
Globe Inet = internet.vodacom

we always use Globe Inet for the trick, because we can change the ip or proxy address, try figuring out the trick in internet.vodacom 'cause vlive uses only dot and @trick which can be block sooner or later.

on 2.06 I get error=404 on both vlive and internet.vodacom

On default I get ''something wrong with the page you tried to access, choose another link''
