D-Pad and Keyboard Bug

Help guys. I had this bug on my X1. When I press the up button, the left softkey menu opens. And on the keyboard whenever I press the U or E buttons, 'UE' appears. And on the dialer whenever I press E, '1E' appears. I soft reset and reformatted the phone but it still exists. Then the bug suddenly disappeared overnight. I'm afraid it'll happen again. Is someone experiencing this? Is it because of software? I'm on Generic UK R1AA017.
