Everytime I set the network type to WCDMA it keeps changing back to auto. As a result I cant get to use the 3G service being offered by my network operater...any suggestions on how to fix this?

If you have it on auto, shouldn it choose whatever network available? So if 3G is available....At my end it does....it always choose the network with the highest speed....

that what I thought too but my wife phone is showing 3G and mine aint

Do you have the same provider as your wife? What does it show on top of your phone? E for edge?
