Just was wondering if anyone knows if O2 (UK)'s SonyEricsson X1's are unlocked or are they locked to the O2 network?
I ask because normally I've heard that O2's policy is to not lock handsets to their network, however, I was thinking it may be different with such a high value phone.
Cheers,

Yes, these are unlocked as long as they are purchased on contract or outright. Apparently "Sim only" purchases arent unlocked? So I have heard anyways.

I bought one with HI and that one wasnt locked.
As far as I know Vodafone does lock all the phones and after a year you are allowed to get the code for free
