restoring texts from computer to phone - SE W380i

Okay I have tried everything and failed and I hope someone can help me.

I've been having a lot of problems with my phone - in terms of getting a good network... spoke to SE and they said that before I send it in for a repair job, might be an idea to do a software update - when I was doing that - it asked me to backup my data and because I'd done it before I didn't worry too much about it.

Only thing is - seems like it's backed up everything and restored everything to my phone except my text messages. And I can't seem to put them back on my phone through the Sony Ericsson PC suite... thing is when I connect my phone through the USB cable to the computer - the texts show up then - but only if my phone is connected to the computer.

Surely I could just put them back on my phone somehow - spoke to SE tech support and they're like there's no way you can put those texts back -but my previous nokia phone let me backup and restore texts - why doesn't this one?

Also there seems to be quite a few softwares around that say they will let me restore texts - but mainly to PC's not from. I've looked at myphoneexplorer but how do i use it to get the texts off the pc suite on to there / my phone.

any help will be really appreciated. thanks.

Afaik there's no way to move backed up sms from pc to phone . . .

Hi missmaryjane!!!
I found a way for this by using MyPhoneExplorer !!!
First backup your files from Extra tab (create backup first) and then you can just do the Restore backup !!!
