Avatar and Profile Info Question

I just noticed an old Axxxr post and suddenly realised that he has changed his avatar... I don't remember him very well cause he was around when I wasn't really around very often, but I know that he always stood out for having no avatar at all, and his location Londinium was always written in red. But now they're not. He now has a K700i avatar and Londinium is black. Has he logged in somehow and changed this, or what happened?

I'd also like to ask how it was possible to have no avatar, and the coloured location, cause it was pretty stand out.

Cheers.

axxxr was a news editor here in the past, but are no longer working for Esato. His custom "axxxr news editor" avatar were removed when he stopped publishing articles

Use the <font color></font> code in your From field so you'll have it in colors.

Thanks for the replies guys.

@Tranced: Yeah I did that ages ago in my profile, but it doesn't display underneath my name in my posts like Axxxr's used to. I was just wondering if it was possible to make it display for us normal forum members.

I mean that it shows in colors when viewing the member's profile

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Yeah I know, but that's not what I was meaning.

I quit. Talk to the boss.

Is it possible to make that coloured like Axxxr's used to be, or was that part of being the news guy too?

something like this?

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Exactly like that, yea g.

Axxxr's used to be like that. Just wondered if anyone else could have it.

it doesn't seem to work anymore

Vlammetje is another example with colours if you look at her profile, but if you view her posts, the colours don't show

Posted by Muhammad-Oli
Yeah I've had the colours in mine for quite some time, and they didn't work on my posts even when Axxxr's did.

Posted by masseur
well I can't say anything about what you did back then, and what the difference might have been, but I can see it won't work now.

looking at the "source" in IE for Vlammetje's profile page I can see the HTML appears correctly, however doing the same for a page containing one of her posts, the color tag is not present, so I assume the script displaying the topic somehow strips this now

Posted by tranced
Sorry to offtopic, but i thought Vlammejet was a man. My excuses go to you.

Well, once i had my From field in colors. Now it's not working. Esato's glitches

Posted by masseur
yeah, Vlammetje is female, she has a photo in that old bathroom thread as I recall

glitch or by design... who knows?
As I mentioned in the signature thread (when one day we had images in our sigs, and the next not), the scripts are currently being optimised so there maybe the occassional functional change too

If I recall, there is a firefox addon that can change page styles.
If you set that to change "The NZ of L" to the html code needed then I guess it would work.

sorry for bringing this up again, but i wanted to know if it's possible.

when you see a PM or your profile(in my case) i realize that the code used in there is:

From:
<font color="red">Santo Domingo</font>, <font color="blue">República Dominicana</font>

but when in a post, the code is

From:
Santo Domingo, República Dom

it's plain and it doesnt even get it all. it cuts the words.

so my question is: can it be used the same code as with the PM/Profile, please?
