Is it possible to change the color of SMS texts? I am using a P1i. The number characters in my SMS are always displayed in dark blue color. Against a black background, they're quite difficult to read.

I'm using a variation on a W960 Walkman dark theme which has black background and the SMS text is white...

Yes, I did. Couldn't find the option to change text color in SMS screen using the program. In the end, I wrote the author of the theme asking how to do it with SE TC. What he did was to send me a revised theme with a background color changed to light gray instead of the original black. Simple solution, problem solved.

Well, i dont normally use any creator in my themes when i found out that everything is in the .xml file. (I am not a programmer, but i figure out how things work by putting 2 .xml files side by side in excel and observe differences)

To change font color, open your .utz file, to do this, simply change the file extension to .zip. ( you may first untick hide extension to unknown files in your file browser, windows OS of course).

Open the file theme.xml using text editor. notepad will do.

you will see this,

condensedColorScheme>
darkColor background="#000000" text="#ffffff" />
midColor background="#881e21" text="#9b2f3d" />
lightColor background="#ffffff" text="#ff9100" />
/condensedColorScheme>

You may use the SE-TC for the color code combinations. in the above example, the text color in sms is orange.
lightColor background="#ffffff" text="#ff9100" />

you may change the color to black in this manner
lightColor background="#ffffff" text="#000000" />

If your text background is dark, change the darkColor background instead. Anyway, the file that controls the background is the EditorBackgrounds.png file.

Save the file. Put it back to the .zip file and change the file extension back to .utz.
