Phenomenal device...almost had one of these a couple of years ago......

If only Moto hadn't gotten scared...would have changed 2004, and onwards......

Specs are WAY too old for you to really enjoy any applications made recently to fully enjoy. Sure they work & well but you have LIMITED RAM (32MB).

1> You're in the wrong DECADE to call that thing new.
2> To us in North America - Motorola announced it as the "MPx" while in Europe/Asia it was the "MPX300".
3> This design & manufacture was NOT Motorola - it was Chei Mei! Chei Mei also had a contract for Motorola's other beauty's that never got released ...
Motorola Mpx-100 [ http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_mpx100-pictures-674.php ] & the MPX-220's Big Brother the Mpx-320.

Unfortunately Chei Mei had some SERIOUS manufacturing issues with the Mpx-220, Motorola decided to cancel production on the 320 & MPx/100 - but NOT before some prototypes & pre-carrier production units already begun shipping them. Motorola had to bite-the-bullet with Camera & firmware & hardware issues on the Mpx-220 (really a nice looking flip phone).

MPx ... that'll be a collectors time piece in history and even MORE so if Motorola actually sells their mobile division.

wow that looks awesome! why was it cancelled?

Hmm... I must be the only one who thinks it looks ugly then.

The two way flips looks interesting but fragile and I think the curve of the buttons is impractical and hideous looking. Is it touchscreen also? A bit gimmickey and over-designed I think, can certainly see why it was dropped.

This is where Nokia copied the dual hinge design philosophy for their N92

Hello!
Yes, it has got a touchscreen

IMO it's not ugly (but I'm a collector , and that is normally that the phones what looks ugly for 99% of people , for me looks great ( like Nokia 7700 ^^, ) )

Everything is ok, but i haven't got a stylus with them. Anybody know the dimension of the stylus? (I want to buy something similar ,and little "overclock it".)

Samsungs have had dual hinge of this type longer than the Motorola here in question. Furthermore Nokia had it in the 6260 but of a central dual hinge design in its flipphone running S60 2nd Edition.
