(An idea from Sony Ericsson is to shove radar in cellphones. According to the application, the built-in technology could work hand-in-hand with the GPS module and camera to obtain a position, calculate distance to target, determine position / speed of said target using Doppler analysis and present the finalized information to the owner.)*

(This one seems to be built for no one else but Mr Bond, James Bond, that is. A Sony Ericsson patent points towards embedding radar technology into cellphones. When coupled with an inbuilt GPS unit and a powerful camera, the technology will allow users to locate their target, click its high resolution image and even determine it velocity and other details. Too bad it doesn’t have a rocket launcher or a synchronised powerful laser beam to complete the ‘seek and destroy’ mission for Bond. Probably, this one is just for locating and clicking pictures of potential Bond girls!)**

Why don't they implement NFC instead?

Some Car alarms have GPS transmitters in them so that the car can be tracked if stolen. Some also have GSM phones in them so that the car can txt you if its being interfered with. This seems like the only consumer use of this tracking technology to me, otherwise it could take off in Law Enforcement and as mentioned, Espionage. Has the FBI shown interest I wonder?

Right!! So SE has fixed all the problems in the main functions of their phones and has moved on to this...
Get real SE, first you need to convince us that you are capable of producing a fully functional smart phone that works on a platform other than 208 MHz. ...And I don't mean have it built by others.
