A customer gave me their old phone because it is 'phone locked' (she described this occurred when she switched out sim cards). Being a phone rep, i just talked her into just upgrading to another w580i under her contract.
What can I do with this?
I like to give this to my sister if i can restore it properly. Its locked to AT&T and
we use Tmobile.
Thanks

After successfully uploading the new FS and Main firmware to the w580i att phone, i get this error after i select "Normal Mode" under startup
1. i insert the phone lock code (0000)
2. then i get this:
"Configuration error. Please contact your service provider or service center"
How can i fix this? Whats wrong?

you need to finalize the phone. check the customize box and select the region of US of A.

*though i dont know whether there is one or not for this firmware version.
**if you flash your phone, the patch will be gone anf you'd have to patch it again.
