No SMS option! - Esato archive

hi all

i have a rather strange problem with a new k810i. I got it a couple of weeks ago and was using my old sim card in it until it ran out, which it did yesterday. I have now put in the sim card that came with the phone and now i cannot send an SMS, or more to the point, the option to do so simply isnt there!!! if i go to 'write new' the only options i am given are picture message, voice message and email, there is simply no mention of the good old fashioned 'text message'. Whats even stranger is that i can still receive an SMS, but if i try to reply to them i can only do so wth the same three options mentioned earlier.

if i put the now expired sim card back into the phone the text message option is back where it should be, but i obviously cannot use it as the sim contract has expired.

is this a problem anybody has encountered and have a resolution?

any help would be appreciated!!

Ehm.. Maybe.. You have activated fone locked on your expired card.. It restricted you to use another simcard except your now expired simcard.. Go to setting, under general tab there's locks, then phone lock.. Hope this may help, or contact your operator..
