My dear se K750 was faithfull and dependable the whole time it was under warranty (2 years) and NEVER had to go to service, but...
Today- a month or so after it expired my phone stopped working. I was holding it in my hand,listening to music when it suddenly turned off and started blinking (white,black,dark,white,black,dark...)
I tried taking out the battery and restarting it-but with no sucess-it just kept on blinking. I saw the sonny ericsson startup logo a couple of times- but then it just started flashing again. A friend of mine said give it here, softly tapped it against the table and it turned on normally! But then in like 30 seconds it started the flashing thing again...
Please beloved esatos- WHAT SHALL I DO?!?!

update- I gave the phne an hour's rest and it turned on normally. Still have my fingers crossed though. What could have caused this? How do I prevent it in the future? Should I start looking for a new phone?
(please don't blame me for not searching this. I've read more than enough on the "white screen of death")

i once owned a k750 before. and i encountered the same problem. while it was playing music (and charging at the same time) it went white screen when some one miscalled me. a number of attempts to revive it (by removing-reinserting the battery before restarting the phone) proved futile.
what i did was i upgraded my software version. thats just it. thats the solution.
oddie, how much is the capacity of the mspd inserted in your k750?

It's only 256mb, but now I realize it turned on the first try after I took the sim and mem. card out- hmm... (now works fine with sim and mem. stick ofcourse
) I'll get the newest firmware in it and keep my fingers crossed- but now that I don't really feel like I can trust it and have an upgrade available- what should I get???
I need(want) a fast compact qvga a/f mid-priced candybar.
(right now I'm at K800 vs. K810 vs. k770)

among your three choices (assuming you really won't care much about xenon flash) imo the best is k770. great screen, camera has a less aggressive noise reduction program, and most especially: NO JOYSTICK

Well k770's pluses (for me) include smaller size and no joystick- yet it lacks BestPic(And yes- I would use it), Paly/pause button, and xenon flash.
The flash isn't a really big deal- cause leds aren't unusable and they have that nifty Torch function.
I think I'll keep pondering about for the next couple weeks till Shiho gets announced and I start saving up for it instead.
Anyways- thanks for all the help guys!
