What has become of once most reliable network?,excess dividend,or subscribers overload, could that be negligence or poor maintenance culture?.
No internet services in 70% of Nigeria over NG MTN wireless, gprs, wap, where available, service is always epileptic.
Hardly 1hr gprs consistency is available.

NCC isn't going to do anything about a value added service like gprs data, when it has voice quality issues it hasn't been able to tackle

@esiaka: mtn has never actually been that stable or reliable. only in recent times that they have improved in thier gprs coverage. but the service is still sketchy.

if thay cant afford a stable gprs service then what is the 3G they are claiming about. not only mtn even glo and zain.here in PHC we can hardly boost of zain 5min gprs stability. too bad

my naija guys? i dnt thnk d fluctuation in nigeriA netwr is cause by MTN or GLo mst of dz netwr had bn Hack so dey hav 2 uggrade it everyday!!!

Sory how do u mean hacked. when they swap our money everyday and still giv us poor services

Hack Shmack. GSM wasnt invented in naija nor is it the first place to have it. If there was anyone "hacking" the networks to reduce its performance it would be the same poor service all over the world. On a more recent note, mtn has been shafting me by deleting my cred when i browse at night, even though i've paid for thier 3gig nite plan bundle and havent used 15mb yet. Tried calling customer care to no avail, sent an email to the customer care, no response. Can i blame the hackers for that too? Anyhow, if it persists its off to NCC i go.

NIGCOMSAT is down. That's d root & stem of d whole problem. Once Nigeria has its own indigenous satelite back in orbit, data communication will boost up. For now, all data signals from are having to pass through d switching centre at I think Surrey Tech, London. This introduces delay, plus switchin is somewhat rationed.
