Problem with XS+ - Esato archive

hi, well i have the next problem:

i open XS++, take out my battery phone, click connect then put the battery on my phone holding down C.... i do everything step by step however on XS++ after i click connect and plug my phone to my PC, the software doesn't regonizes it ! and it says: ERROR: Cannot open phone communication port

what should i do :s ? can somebody help me please !!!

is the phone off? is usbflash driver installed?
