go for asus laptops. asus makes laptops that pack more power for the price than any other company, and people never have big issues with them. i have an asus f3jp

If you are going for an Intel based laptop, then make sure you are getting the new G965(santa rosa chipset). I chose this with the new x3100 integrated graphics and it's great, works vista aero no problem. This new chipset has just been launched and by the end of the year most laptops will be built around it.

I would never go with Asus as I had a friend who had 3 faulty ones in 6 months. He eventually got a HP one and that has been fine for 6 months.

hehe, for me it was the opposite, i havent had any issues, and all my pals that have asus havent had issues either, we even play crysis on ours. My other friend has an hp, and it is dead, just after 3 months, battery died, keyboard is dead, power button dead, screen flickers like mad, its a piece of junk.
