Apparently the Xbox 360 got a better CPU than PS3. But i'd take PS3-60GB anyday!! But if thats way off your budget then get the Xbox 360-Elite

With the 3 choise you've given i'd say 360 is the best. Ps2 is old and the wii is really a second console to sit next to your main imo.

Now the ps3 has come down in price it could be a option for you (although i prefer the 360 as it has pretty much the same games and more and has a better control pad.)

1. xbox360
2. wii
3. PS2

if you had PS3 in your list i would probably put that ahead of xbox360

The 360 is the best. I will own them both soon but i know for a fact that the PS3 won't be able to beat xbox live.

Depends what your plans in the future are. The 360 is far better for on line gaming, visually I feel the PS3 out does the 360 (and I believe it always will do).

The WII on the other hand is a fun console, it cant be compared to the others as it is more of an additional console that a sole console. However the novilty of the motion controls does wear off... I havent played mine for about 6 moths, and even then I was playing game cube games on it. In my view it will remain unplayed until the next Mario Kart.

People mention that the xbox is cheaper than the PS3, but if you consider what you get with a PS3, built in wireless, 40gb HD (or 80gb soon), a blue ray player, wireless controllers and chargers all as standard for about £300.

You can get an X360 premium for £230 (The core is a waste of money imo)with a 20gb HD (120GB on the Elite £70 more). Then the HD-DVD player is an aditional £115, A charger pack for the controls is another £15. A wireless adapter is £50. So thats £410 to match the PS3.

Although the HD-DVD player is not really somthing you need, the rest is. Even so, I personally prefer the 360 atm, as you cant beat it for on line gaming.

It also has almost the same range of games plus the adition of Halo3.

I'm gonna say 360. My mate has a ps3 and I have a 360 and we spend most of the time playin mine. The PS3 is still relatively new so the blue ray player will be the early firmware. Give it another 6-12 months, i bet there will be a new version of the console (just like the psp)

About the graphics though, I've played both versions of assassins creed and I for one cannot tell the difference in gameplay. The only way you can tell is if you have an amazing eye for detail lol or dare I say it a fanboy (I am not starting a flamewar!!!)

I agree about games that aren’t console specific, but I feel that Resistance FOM looks better than any game I have seen on the 360 including Halo.
(That said, I haven’t seen COD4 running on the 360 yet)

As far as I’m aware the PS3 technically is far superior, and although graphics don't look too different now, in the future they will. The biggest problem atm is that games are too expensive to produce for the PS3 and therefore there are not many games specific to that console.

Also agree about playing the 360 more. I live with my brother and a mate atm. My brother is PS mad and got a PS3 a few months back, me and the mate both got a 360 and got Halo 3 on the go. A week later my brother then deceided to get an Elite. Now we just Live and LAN it up on Halo 3. Its brilliant.

The PS3 is just gathering dust waiting for some decent (PS3 only) games to get developed.
