I have read a couple of posts that mention digital cameras with irda and thus, the ability to send to t68i. I have managed to find only on make so far which isn't a real expensive cam: Sony dsc-f1. which is proving hard to find.

If you know of any digital cameras with irda please let me know.

Thanks in advance people.

Try to find that concord cam that came free with the 9210 (on certain markets.)

The camera is a separate unit in the 9210. They have it here in the phils. Usually free if u buy a 9210

I can't find anywhere in uk that sells them!

Gowin suggested the Concord that came free with the 9210. i have that camera, and a t39m. But I can't get the two to communicate. Any suggestions?

Any bluetooth cameras out there? (I have an Ipaq as well)

I'm sure i read a post hear from someone who said that the concord does work.... I'm trying for the sony dsc f1 at the moment though cause it looks nicer..... good reaseon eh!

That soundz intresting.
Have you received the cam yet?

Posted by largepig
Yeah, have got cam but it can't seem to send to the phone. I have old software though, so i'll get it upgraded soon and see if it makes any difference, i don't hold out much hope though.... i have read that the concord eye q ir (comes with that massive nokia brick sometimes) works. Might try and get one of them........ Alternativley SE could just get off their arses and make a cam with a flash... grrrr.

The Concord eye IR cam does not work with the T68i! It does not use the same ir standard! I have both. /Carlis.

Thanks for letting me know!!! I don't need to waste another load of cash!!!

Carlis> Have you managed to get the sony dsc-f1 to work with the normal cable on anything other than win95/ or have you managed to get it to send to pc via ir on anything other than 95?

I'm getting my t68i next week and my father has a Casio QV-7000SX with ir so i can test it next week and let you know if it works.
Info on the Casio -> http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Casio/casio_qv7000.asp

Cool, let me know! I think the problem is that the dsc-f1 irda runs at a higher datarate than 9,600 (max datarate of t68i irport).

I just read some info on http://www.casio.com/Cameras/product.cfm?section=47&product=801&display=10&cid=3075

Infrared: IrDA Version 1.1 (Transfer Rate 1.152Mbps) and Ir-TranP

It will be worth a try that may be the max speed, i think they are supposed to step down if the device it's talking to won't connect at the max speed but the t68i times out pretty fast, maybe too fast. at least you're not having to spend £150 on one like i did!! But mine came with a sony dpp m55 dye-sub printer... fantastic print quality!!!

OK..i will try it as soon as i get my t68i, but if anyone else from Hoorn in the Netherlands who has a t68i reads this i might try it today allready..

Posted by largepig
good luck

OK..i cannot get it to work with the Casio...i tried all the settings i could find but...no go..

Bummer!!! I might have to get the communicam then. It's a shame cause i compare the communicam against the cam on the sharp gx-10, and althoug the sharp has lower res, it deals with low light so much better than the communicam, i.e. not at all
