Posted by MobileBear
Ofcourse some here at esato does have the K550, I havenīt just seen this thread.

Here you have some shots from my K550.

In school.

My new shoes.

My friends VW 1200 from 1962. (taken in sepia)

A close-up on some fries. :/

Ladybirds. With macro.

Mmmm. Donīt know how this is called in english. In Sweden we call it "dammsugare", which means vaccum-cleaner.

Posted by *Jojo*
@bear - Those were really decent shots mate Specially, the very 1st image (taken indoors) . . . does the K550 has a flash-light? Was that taken in Night Mode - on?

Posted by tranced
hey, welcome to this thread. i like the ladybugs, fries and the wv pics. i'd like to see night shots though.

Posted by *Jojo*
@tranced - Yeah . . . I wonder if the mxe-60 xenon flash will work with the K550 AS I'm very certain that it has NO built-in xenon-flash

Posted by tranced
it does have a led. as the k750. give a look here: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=141053

@jedi - If it has the same price with that of the K750i . . . I would definitely will GO for the - K750i ! I wonder if this K550 has an external memory card-slot

Posted by >500
yes it has expandable memory.... i would go for k550i. its a little more 'refreshed'. and it has a2dp. kind of a need for me now...

Posted by tranced
@jojo: it seems you didn't read the k550 specs.

@jedi - OK, what kind of card does it use M2 or the legendary: MSPD but it still LACK: Auto-Focus feature when compared with the K750.

Posted by >500
it has Auto focus and m2 cards. read the specs much smaller too, well slimmer any way, nice size....

@jedi - Really I guess this is really a STIR, I mean - STEAL ! It's kinda rare to see a 2 MP with auto-focus on low-end fones . . . . H m m m m m m m . . . black or white

Posted by tranced
this is not a low end one. it's a mid end one.

Posted by >500
i would go white for a change.....

@tranced - Yeah . . . : K300/W300, low-end . . . . K550/W550, MID-END . . . . K750 and K800/W700, W800, W850 and W850, hi-end.

ok this thread is for k550i camera samples lets leave it at that, and continue k550i discussion here: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=141053

For those of us in the U.S. the quad-band status of the K550i is a nice upgrade from the K750. I did a side-by-side comparison at PhoneScoop.com and it was enlightening. Trade offs no matter which one you choose.

Posted by Rookwise
Hmmm Might pick one of these up sometime soon. As much as I like the K750 (had 3 so far) the design of the K550 is a welcome update

Posted by jairo28
Hi people

Posted by xnuo
as i seemed to notice, k550 pics are a crap at night..... and i mean it... pure crap....i don't see why they couldn't get a better replacement for the k750 camera than this one....
compared to the k750, this one sucks, big time....

Posted by SaLiH
@xnuo - I agree, I've only seen this two night photos taken with K550i, that are excellent. Check it out :

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=148876#post2004498

Posted by xnuo
i would say those are nice photos indeed... but still, it doesn't change the fact that the k550 still has very poor quality in night shots....try to notice something about the photos from that post, even those that are excelent photos... check the dark areas, where you will see a cuadriculated pattern.... i don't understand why it does this, but it seems to me that the sensor is interpolating some of the pixels... could someone plz explain to me why the k550 cam sensor does this ? cuz i never saw that on a k750 photo....

check this example of the pattern if you dont understand what i say....

@Evil Eye
why are your pics so blurred? Did you move the cam while taking pics...
anyways nice set of subjects. I particularly liked the one titled 'VGA MODE WITH ZOOM'(sharp one indeed)

Posted by tranced
@sunils: im with you. the one with zoom seems sharper, like the had optical zoom. maybe he did not focus the objects very well so the pics came out like that. i had many problems trying to focus objects while i had a k550 in my hands. the camera button on the k550 seems to be very easy pushing.

Posted by *Jojo*
@evil - Nice ! Though how come those indoor-shots are sharper than the ones taken OUTDOOrs

Posted by Evil Eye
@sunils yeah i moved it a bit, i reckon
@Jojo dont know mate
but its very cloudy out here as the monsoon is going, and i even forgot to take the pics on cloudy mode...

will post more pics soon...

Posted by Evil Eye
few pics in auto focus mode:

Had went to a laptop showroom:

thats ma birthday cake, my friends brought it for me yesterday:
it read "To Dearest Manish(thats me)":

Posted by tranced
hey, that's a nice gift. i see you had a great time, didnt ya?

Posted by Evil Eye
@tranced yeah mate, i did enjoy a lot!
and thanks a lot for creating the birthday thread

Posted by Grrreg
where did u get all those ladybirds from
???
lol

Posted by sunils120
@Evil Eye wish you a very happy belated birthday matey. Now these are good pics. Can be compared to the pics taken by the w810

Posted by *Jojo*
@manish - I liked the Notebook pics . . . a BIT-sharp for an indoor shot !

@manish - The cake looks like a chocolate mousse one mate However, I just made notice about that thing that's placed on top of the cake . . . (encircled in yellow, with the yellow arrow on) . . . You are a BOY right, Manish

ok so i thought id come and join the party ..............
i actually have a real hard time taking good pictures with this phone because the button used to take pictures, on my k550 i have to press it down so hard to get it take a picture i usually move the phone. Its really annoying.

really? its annoying isnt it, i find a lot of the time too,. some of my buttons on my keypad dont work too. The phone creaks a lot too. I dont think the build quality is good at all

Posted by shyam335
I was experimenting with camera for a while,

Here is a normal image in dark,slight shake of hand

and the same scenario with a slight difference

I thought that was a cool thing to do,sometimes longer shutter times can help to produce very interesting images..

Those who are familiar with cameras with manual exposure control might know of 'writing with light',i think we can produce some part of it like this!

Posted by tranced
the problem i faced with my friend's k550 was that the button was very loose. i had to press it slowly. focusing was harder to perform. now your prob is that the button is hard to press.

= ???:

Posted by Burgaz
As there's no w610 photo thread and it's practically the same phone i thought i'd stick some of my w610 pics up here!! Hopw no one minds(you should change the title to k550/w610 pictures ).

My eye after an accident in the garden (painting effect)

This one was taken in coplete darkness using the leds!
It's excess mold shot from an IC molding machine.

Nice one!

Here's a quick one of my xbox 360 complete with Limited Edition PGR3 Face Plate!!

Posted by DonJuan
you know why else this phone suffers, i dont know about the w610 tho, the phone is not flat on the side so if you want to take a good night picture...i liked the k800 and k750 had flat sides so that you can keep the phone super steady
