Yea, mine does work the same way, although only if i push it RIGHT above my joystick... although, i'm not so sure that is soo good for the phone..... but it is quite cool

T68 use to have tht same prob .. dont do tht ofent .. it might just break ur LCD ..

Posted by Jonteponte
Yep. Works here to.

Strange.

Anyone who doesn't have that "functionality"?

It can be considered a design flaw if it's present on all phones...

it's the facia touching the joystick, i would say its a flaw/feature!

it works on mine too, that's why I keep calling home from my pocket, I think auto keylock is the done thing in this situation!

LOL, I hope you guy had bought insurance for your handset. 'cause you'll need it soon if you think that's a "hidden" touch screen feature.

SE in the UK reckon I should take it back to the retailer, but what they gonna do? At least I know for 12 months I can get my money back!!!!!!!

Posted by jcpsad
is this true? or you're just pressing the screen too hard so it touches the yes/no button...

Posted by Owen
Doesn't work with my t68... Or maybe I should press harder.. hehehe.. And break the screen..

Posted by dnm123
NO, NO, with the T68 you need to put it under the wheel of a car then drive over it, the alternative way to get the required affect is stamp on the screen

Posted by jcpsad
@Owen their talking about T300 not T68...

that will clear things up!

i don't think it will.

i think they are refusing to aknowledge a built in fault.

Obviously a recall would be exhorbitant so maybe I can get a p800 if I keep my mouth shut?

hahaa, there is one more function on t300 screen. if you push it hard enough, it will work as \"turn off\" button for your display. forn off forever :o)))))

I don't think I want to try pressing my screen for any sort of reason

I have a brand new T68i (2 weeks old) and it has the secret touch screen, seems that there is a reoccuring theme here?

I don't know if it's related, but this only seemed to happen after the first time I took the cover off and put it back on. Obviously something on the case isn't lining up properly and it's pushing down on the joystick :/

Perhaps the design needs to be changed very slightly in new covers?

Hey!!! Same thing happens with the P800!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HA HA!!!!!

Works like this on my T68 T68i and T300 so must be a desdign flaw also my T68i screen goes all funny when you aplly the slightest of touches to it a mate of mine has T 68i and his does the same when I say all funny I mean the colours distort on the display but this must be because there is no clearence between the screen and cover.

doesnt work with my t300. i dont know if thats good or bad

Ahh - found out what's causing it. It's the foam-like surrounding of the display section on the underside of the casing. When you push down on the screen, this foam pushes against the joystick ball.

A slight trimming with a Stanley knife has now removed this 'feature' lol.

its a fun feature but it has no use. except killing your screen. lets hope that will introduce some phones whit out a keys, just a touch screen.

There is no touchscreen available on the T300, regardless of what software version you have. The 'feature' or 'problem' people are referring to is a hardware issue - generally it is the case of the phone pushing against the joystick.
